"Ungrip": Amazing New Doc. About A Man Who Became Legally Soveirgn
I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet. This guy basically lives on his property, completely self-sufficient and the government has no jurisdiction over him. He even has his own Constitution and Declaration of Independence. He lives in Canada, but there is really a great deal of legal history that is uncovered in this film that I hadn't heard before.
It started out when the government tried to inflict their authority over him and his property with building permits for his sustainable structure. The movie is the story of his legal journey that has resulted in him no longer requiring any legal documents or identification. Very fascinating.
Edit: I should also mention this guy has no debt and no relationship with the state or any financial institutions. He lives sustainably on his land, chops wood for heat, raises chickens, grows crops, etc. It is filled with a lot of interesting legal history, British, Magna Carta, etc..
Here is the trailer, check it out:
Here is the full feature film:
The filmmaker is the same one who made Esoteric Agenda and Kymatica, both great films that I highly recommend.
