Hmmm, a homogeneous fighting force of white men that fought a global war on multiple fronts against well armed and dedicated adversaries and had the whole thing stitched up in a decisive win inside of five years.

As opposed to a "Diversity Army" that still hasn't managed a win in the tiny backward nation of Afghanistan after twenty years.

The University of Rhode Island recently announced plans to remove two murals depicting the events of World War II due to their lack of diversity. The decision was prompted after students complained that the mural was not compatible with the university’s values of inclusivity. According to the school’s Vice President of Student Affairs, “Some of our students have even shared with us they didn’t feel comfortable sitting in that space.”

According to a local news report, the University of Rhode Island plans to remove two 70-year-old murals that depict World War II over concerns that they do not feature enough diversity.

The murals were painted to pay respect to the memories of those that lost their lives in World War II. The murals feature various scenes including veterans returning to the United States and a University of Rhode Island class reunion.

Kathy Collins, the University of Rhode Island’s Vice President of Student Affairs, said that she has received numerous complaints from students about the murals’ lack of diversity.

“I have received complaints about the murals that portray a very homogeneous population predominately the persons painted and depicted on the wall are predominantly white and that does not represent who our institution is today,” Collins said. “Some of our students have even shared with us they didn’t feel comfortable sitting in that space.”

The murals were painted by Art Sherman, who is now a 95-year-old veteran and a member of the University of Rhode Island’s class of 1950. “Oh, I loved painting that, yeah,” Sherman told a reporter this week. “I never had any formal education in painting by the way I just used to cartoon.”

“Well, it depicted that era,” Sherman continued. “A lot of students, friends of mine, would come by and say why don’t you do this, why don’t you do that so that’s what I did so everybody chipped in.”

Breitbart News reported in June 2019 that George Washington High School in San Francisco decided that they would erase an “offensive” mural of George Washington.

These retarded leftists students have too much power. Had I been the Dean at this school I would have told them to fuck off. They don't like my decision they can transfer to a different school.

This is the mural in question. I get the principle in not letting woke culture win out but will not die on this hill. It was a product of its time and for that reason should be left alone. Maybe if the time came to repaint it, they can add in a few other groups.

I don't see that relates to WW2 at all.

I think the people in the pic are supposed to represent surviving soldiers who are now going to the beach, getting fat, drinking and getting laid. One reason I ain't dying on this hill.

Obviously, that is just one panel of the mural, depicting a post-war Class Reunion of school veterans.

A "professor" at the University of Rhode Island:

'Nothing wrong with' murder of Trump supporter from a 'moral perspective'

Loomis responded by saying, “He killed a fascist. I see nothing wrong with it, at least from a moral perspective.”
...
Loomis said in another comment, "Yes, sometimes violence is necessary, say to avoid greater physical harm, i.e. self-defense, or to defeat a literal army of fascists who are trying to kill people. But, ideologically, I think the idea that violence is good if it's against our political enemies is a core part of fascism, and so the ideological opposition to that idea should be its opposite - that violence as a general rule is bad, unless the specific context of that situation requires a violent response."

Why?

The country was not over run with Nigerians in 1950.

Why should your phiz be included?

Thankfully, Nigerians did not actively participate in that immoral, aggressive war but I am sure other American groups other than white people participated in it and for some reason are proud of flying to Europe where they had no business being in and taking the opportunity to kill, destroy and rape much of Germany.

I am saying maybe when the mural is redone, their savagery acts during the war can also be represented in said mural.

Knowing many people who actually fought in WW-2 and having listened to many accounts of said "savagery acts" and seeing the pain in their eyes when discussing the barbarities of war it's apparent that your opinion doesn't reflect the reality they experienced.

There are a few WW-2 vets still alive, do yourself a favor and take the time to talk to one.

Juleswin should have renamed his forum handle to "Sieg Heil, Che!"

I really hate this line of logic, its no different from the people who ask you if you know someone who has died of covid, presuming that if you did, you would understand the lockdown. But yes, I have talked to people who fought in WWII. Many of em are good people who were most likely forced into war. Their intentions were good and I do not doubt that. My issue is this, what business do they have in Europe when Germany did not attack the US? They supported a barbaric govt's policy to initiate war against Germany and that ended up killing millions, destruction of trillions in property and the raping and enslavement of many German women after the war.

Ummm, you are aware that Germany declared war on America, right?

most think the krauts got what they deserved , if you are a sympathizer that is ok but i doubt anyone cares since come new years 1945 will be 76 years ago . there is nothing offensive about the mural . you should use your activism on the future .

Because the socialist war monger Roosevelt was already attacking Germany before that time, they did everything they could to provoke Germany and that worked. Lets imagine say Angola declared war on the US and never attacked a US property or assembled an army to ship over to the US for an attack, do you think the US should attack Angola?

I am not naive, I know and I bet you also know that the US was itching for war, their zionist masters have already commanded them to attack Germany and they were going to obey regardless of what Germany did.

Yes Oyarde, the thousand of women raped after the war and the men placed in labour camps and worked to death all deserved it. Kill the whities and rape their women, amiright brother? They should have bent the knee for their zionist masters like the obedient US govt.

Yes it is different.

Trying to saddle veterans of WW-2 with your emotional opinions is both childish and illogical.

The people who were alive then made the best decisions they could, are we holding the current government to the same standards?

i'm not really in charge of who deserves what and i dont know any zionist masters. i'm sure you have a lot of links to support these millions of white germans in forced labor kamps after the war.
