That there are people here at RPF who seriously believe that begging Trump to care about liberty has even the remotest prospect of success - people who I'm sure would not have been so naive with respect to Obama or Bush (or Hillary, had she won) - is really the whole problem in a nutshell. The sooner this delusion - that Trump is in any way an ally, a fellow traveler, an outsider, whatever - ends the better for the liberty movement, or whatever bits and pieces of it remain at this point.
