Well, they bought majority stake in Chrysler, which helped em take over control of the company. And the end result is success for the little car company. Btw, I have driven a lada and it was OK, my uncle had one and he loved it. Cheap, easy to repair and all around work horse of a car. Not saying I will pick it over a toyota but it was an OK car from my experience. Just saying

We fought against their weapons in Korea and Vietnam. Then we changed our strategy to pay other countries not to be communists and to arm other countries if they invade them.

The "Pepsi strategy" to pay the Soviets not to be communist became famous because they traded Pepsi for a bunch of military boats because there was no way to pay them directly because of trade barriers and over night Pepsi had one of the largest navy's in the world.

It's called the Pepsi strategy but look at Ron Paul videos from the 80s and he talks about giving the Soviet Union welfare. He used to say stop paying people welfare and send it to the Soviet Union and let them collapse.
