I think you are seriously deluded. He isn't boycotting over the media... He's staying away because he has too much to lose from a debate and very little (if nothing at all) to gain.
It's the same reason why Hillary pushed to limit the debates. (and why, now, she needs them)
Debates are not good for the frontrunners. It would be much better to just have the media repeat your name about a billion times before people go to the caucuses. That's exactly what they'll do for him. The media has been especially nice to Mr. Trump. Why would they stop now? Hillary hasn't won yet.
Trump was planning to attend until FOX sent out messages that reasserted their arrogance, so he responded in like manner. It had utterly nothing to do with his worrying about losing ground in the polls (as he has handled every previous debate no matter what got thrown at him), he's boycotting to object to FOX's bullying.
The point remains, last week I said Rand should have done the same, and it's still good that somebody did so. Please note, it is possible that Trump actually meant it when he declared Kelly was an incompetent reporter who asked irrelevant PC questions. His willingness to follow through and regularly confront or punish the media is one objective reason why he achieved frontrunner status as an outsider. Can we prefer Rand to Trump around here, without it distorting our intelligence as to who exactly is leading in the race, and why?
