To be fair, the standard rules don't seem to be applying to Trump. He ruthlessly attacked Graham and Perry before and they were both dead in the polls. I guess we will see how this plays out. I have to assume Rand wanted a response from Trump, and now he got it. I just hope he's not miscalculating the amount of support/type of attention he will be getting.

Its a toss up, Rand is coming strong with substance and Trump just calls names, I don't think Rand wants the low info voters, he wants the real conservatives to open their eyes (if there are even that many supporting Trump).

He did. I said that on another thread... Immature, not ready for prime time move. Why does he set himself up as the Trump attack dog, when no other GOP candidate is willing to do so. Rand did a great job on his interview, but it was stupid as hell. FOX killed two birds (Trump and Paul), with one stone.

My impression was that Cruz won more not fighting him. Look at the post debate polls.

Waiting for Trump to implode and then take his voters would've been a smarter thing for Rand. It will be hard for Rand to get Trump voters after he trashed their candidate.

I think this is a prime example of "any news is good news". The more Trump attacks Paul, the more Paul will get the opportunity to be heard.
