Trump Outperformed Romney in all Ethnicities

Those numbers sound wrong for Romney. Romney must have got 5% black because Johnson got 1% that year.

By the Cornell figures, there was little change in minorities for Romney vs Trump. Well within margin of errors. Trump did it with rural voters.

The 29% latino vote for Trump entirely undoes the original narrative that the GOP "had to" stay away from immigration, and pander to the group in order to be viable in the Presidential election. Trump showed the issue was overrated, or that the latino issue was only a factor in a few battleground states where they have a presence. The latter view has been proven correct based on the election results.

Just imagine how well he'll do with Latinos after he's deported the illegals who voted 99% against him.

Romney had 27%- Trump 29% on the Hispanic vote. Not much difference.

Asians- 26% to 29%.

Blacks- 6% to 8%.

Women- Romney won them with 44% vs 42% for Trump.

But when you look at "people" and not percentages, Trump underperformed Romney in nearly all groups.

It is only because Clinton did so poorly that it makes it seem like Trump outperformed. He did not.

Mitt Romney had more votes than either Trump or Clinton (at just under 61 million- he would have won by a million votes this time- Clinton was just below 60 million)- and still lost by 5 million votes. That means six million fewer people voted.

Agreed. Trump lucked in. Either that or Comey's confusing
top cop C mlakewalk galvanized Newt Gingrich's fanbase...

Romney was always a lackluster candidate. I think if they ran him again he would have lost again.

If polls were mostly proven wrong, why do they rely on the exit polls from such a close election to figure out why Trump won. Weird.
But definitely a lot of people don't want a woman President. A man wearing a Hillary shirt or holding a Hillary sign looks funny.

Polls were actually not that far off. They were within a point or two on the national polling. It is in the Electoral College they were wrong- where those votes were.
