Trump Opposition Research Thread

If my choices are between the CURRENT FASCISTS who have it out for me because I'm straight, white, male, and productive and a future fascist who has it out for all the people who caused the problems in the first place, GUESS THE FUCK WHAT! I'm going to take the fucking fascist who isn't aiming his fascism at me!

It is good to know that you don't actually believe in liberty. Your misunderstanding of history is astounding. There hasn't been a fascist regime where any but those in power didn't suffer under the heel of the State's oppressive boot.

Also, your characterization of Middle Eastern refugees as savages is so infantile it would be laughable if the results weren't so bloody. Even if I assumed your assertion were true, you'd have to demonstrate that we live in a society where rape isn't a daily occurrence for your assertion that they are any more savage than we are to be worth considering. But the reality is that rape is a common occurrence in American society, so your argument, even if true, is unconvincing.

Finally, to characterize FEE as "globalist" is simply stupid. If anything FEE is dedicated to actual small, local government and libertarianism. That you have a problem with that speaks more of a lack of understanding for the ideals and universality of liberty than to any "globalist" nature of FEE.

Finally, your elevation of "American" as if Americans were some special type of people with more rights than others, leads me to conclude you're a nationalist. In which case I'm not surprised you would support Trump. Nationalism is the heart of fascism

And another goddamn thing. I'll be fucking damned if I'll be talked down to by a bunch of GOVERNMENT TEAT SUCKING ACADEMICS preaching to me about free markets!

I'll be fucking damned about this team of taxpayer-funded frauds and Wall Street predators telling me I'm a goddamn nativist because I don't want to see my countrymen systematically replaced by any and all dregs of humanity that can be shipped in here ON MY TAX DOLLAR and supported on welfare STOLEN FROM ME and call me a fucking nativist!

I call these people TRAITORS and I will be perfectly happy to see Trump line them up against the fucking wall.

If you're willing to murder people because they disagree with you then not only do you not understand what liberty is or what rights are, you're also a pretty terrible human being and are exactly what is wrong with American society.

By the way, you just gave a perfect textbook example of nativism. That you think someone being your "countrymen" somehow gives them a special status and things they have more of a right to (citizenship, jobs, political clout, etc.) than immigrants because your "countrymen" are here first, or are native, is nativism. This of course is in opposition to liberty, which asserts that all people by virtue of their being humans and irregardless of their ethnic/national/racial/etc. background all have the same human rights, and free market capitalism, which asserts all people have a right to enter the market, compete, and prosper according to their ability and to do so without governmentally erected barriers that would prevent them from doing so (like protectionism).

In theory, your assertions on universal liberty are valid and noble, but they still don't pass the reality test. I concur that we should not discriminate on an individual basis, but you have to be a fool to suggest that we should open the doors indiscriminately to the masses with no reasonable expectations on what we are importing.

Moreover, where are all these booming libertarian centers around the world may I ask, if the world is crying for freedom like you attest? The reason why this is NOT the case is simply the fact that anti-liberty 'cultures' have grown disproportionately while we have slept.

As flawed and mentally deficient as America has become, it is still the final redoubt for the rapidly dimming 'classical liberal' flame that the postmodern man despises. Help isn't coming from outside our borders, aside from some foreign powers that wish to exact revenge on our psychotic federal government.

We have thousands of citizens getting their balls fondled by federal agents every day just because they want to get on a plane and Mr More Libertarian Than Thou here thinks we don't already live in a Fascist state. How far that gloved federal hand got to literally go up your ass before it becomes Fascism?

You're kidding, right?

Trump is 100% is favor of the existing police state.

He actually wants to expand it dramatically: to make a national database of Muslims, to use more torture, etc.

He's called for the execution of Snowden FFS.

Ok, but then why should we add more possible fascism to our country then with Trump?

But you see, the US is authoritarian-lite. What we need is unabashed authoritarianism because it's honest.

And besides, an illiterate day laborer is more competent than I so you know, American jobs and all.

Trump, Der de durr.

We need a dogshit opposition thread.

How does Trump's view on North Korea or Iran align with your foreign policy inclinations?

I don't know what his views are on NK/Iran and not sure if he has any clearly defined views on these or lot of other issues. It doesn't matter as I probably do not agree with a lot of his views. He could be more like different kind of treatment/therapy for GOP like Obama was post Bush freedom situation.
But there are a few good traits about him mixed with quite a few not so good ones.

It’s the trope on Trump: He’s authentic, a straight-talker, less scripted than traditional politicians. That’s because Donald Trump doesn’t let facts slow him down. Bending the truth or being unhampered by accuracy is a strategy he has followed for years.
"People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That's why a little hyperbole never hurts," Trump wrote in his 1987 best-seller The Art of the Deal. "People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular. I call it truthful hyperbole. It's an innocent form of exaggeration — and a very effective form of promotion."
That philosophy guided Trump in luxury real estate and reality television. This year he brought it to the world of presidential politics.
Trump has "perfected the outrageous untruth as a campaign tool," said Michael LaBossiere, a philosophy professor at Florida A&M University who studies theories of knowledge. "He makes a clearly false or even absurdly false claim, which draws the attention of the media. He then rides that wave until it comes time to call up another one."

PolitiFact has been documenting Trump’s statements on our Truth-O-Meter, where we’ve rated 76 percent of them Mostly False, False or Pants on Fire, out of 77 statements checked. No other politician has as many statements rated so far down on the dial.
In considering our annual Lie of the Year, we found our only real contenders were Trump’s -- his various statements also led our Readers’ Poll. But it was hard to single one out from the others. So we have rolled them into one big trophy.
To the candidate who says he’s all about winning, PolitiFact designates the many campaign misstatements of Donald Trump as our 2015 Lie of the Year.
When it comes to inaccurate statements, the Donald was on fire:

  • • "I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down," he said at a Nov. 21 rally in Birmingham, Ala. "And I watched in Jersey City, N.J., where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down. Thousands of people were cheering." Pants on Fire. There is no video of thousands of people in Jersey City cheering. Weeks later, Trump continues to stand by his claim but has not been able to point to evidence to back it up. Public safety officials on the ground in New Jersey say it never happened.
