Trump on torture: 'We have to beat the savages'

Free trade is not NAFTA, CAFTA TPP, et al!!! Did you even read any of Ron's articles about this; apparently not. They are free trade about as much as the Patriot Act is "patriotic". None at all.

But you're being disingenuous. Because you don't support free trade anyway.

It seems like racism accounts for about 50% of that support. The rest of them are people that let Alex Jones tell them what to think.

Yeah, erowe, Trump really has to chap the behinds of those open borders useful idiots (to the globalists), such as yourself, eh?

You cannot have free trade when only one side is doing it. I would think that would be obvious by now.

The trade imbalance matters and it always did.

But you can at least have one side doing it, which is better than protectionism.

lol. No it isn't. Or haven't you noticed that whole industries have moved out of the U.S. and jobs outsourced, en masse?

So what? They do that because it's financially advantageous. Would you rather have our government make it harder for them to do that?

Trump is not for free trade. He wants a 20%+ tariff, ffs. He tried to have the city evict an elderly lady and give him her property. He endorses Kelo v. New London. He is for socialized medicine. He wants to restrict who can hire whom.

It is ok because trump will exempt his own products from having to be made in America like he does now, but to get this back on track since LE is trying to derail it, invest in thumb screws and high voltage transformers, as I am sure they will be made in America.

Trump's support of torture is shitty, but at least you kind of know where he stands on things.

If Trump actually becomes President and then really wants to push for torture, then that is going to be the Democrats' (and Rand's) chance to really focus on opposing that.

When is the last time that Democrats have focused on doing anything good at all?

It's the other, radical things that Trump wants to do that continue to make him an excellent choice for President.

You're telling LE all the reasons she already likes Trump.

Surreal stupidity begets surreal stupidity.

You're pointing to the outcome not the causation.

Per Trump he is going to make the US companies stay back by placing 35% tariff (?, got this % when he quotes Carrier as an example) on their their goods when they come in.

Who's going to pick up the tab when there is a corresponding hike in the price of those goods that end customer pays? Will Trump venture into price fixing of those goods as well?

We're all aware that businesses move elsewhere to keep their bottom line healthy, not because they're being unfair to local populace or being unpatriotic.

It'd be different if Trump talks specifically how he's going to improve the business environment(taxation esp and regulation etc) to make it attractive for the businesses to stay back..

Funny, because that is EXACTLY what Ron Paul advocated instead of managed trade deals. He wanted to simply remove all of our tariffs regardless of what other countries may or may not do. That was his whole premise behind not supporting NAFTA, TPP, etc.

If that is what he wanted, I totally disagree with him. Totally. But, I don't believe that is what he wanted. He knew that U.S. companies could not compete with all the regulations in place.

All of that is utterly awful. Why anyone who is "pro-liberty" could support Trump is baffling to me. I'm way too hyper-socially conservative to count as "libertarian" anymore but even I'm way more libertarian than Trump.

He has talked about how the trade deals included handing over technological secrets/advances to foreign countries. This has to stop. But, a lot of this can't be turned back at this point. Our laws basically rebuilt China and India. Do you recognize that?

Yes, taxation and regulation have to be changed and Trump has mentioned regulation. In fact, he has said the EPA needs to be abolished.

But, to think we can be the only side doing free trade and that is going to work out well is well, foolish. Perot was right when he said the passage of NAFTA would cause a giant sucking sound.

So, color me as someone who is for fair trade.
