The US is preparing to provide intelligence support and assist Europe in providing air defense to Ukraine after the war with Russia ends. Moscow has rejected any Western troop deployment to Ukraine as a condition for ending the conflict.

According to Financial Times, senior US officials told their European counterparts that Washington was willing to assist Europe in providing security guarantees to Ukraine, “including intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), command and control and air defence assets to enable any European-led deployment on the ground.”

European officials say they are only willing to deploy troops to Ukraine if the US provides additional support. Washington says it will support Europeans if they deploy tens of thousands of troops to Ukraine.

I'm sure you must have read into that, you know, assuming that "Intel" was short for "Intelligence". It's not. The US is now a 10% owner of Intel, and will be providing customer support for Intel customers going forward. Trump's currently got the National Guard picking up trash in DC; and once that's done, he'll have them manning the help centers for Intel (customers are much more courteous to support staff when the support staff is heavily armed - no one wants to get shot in the face with a bazooka).

Politics requires us to choose the less bad option because the perfect options are unavailable.

If the alternative of providing support and not putting US boots on the ground is deploying US troops to liberate Europe I know which option I prefer.

Its not imperialism for Europe to defend their own borders and their sovereignty from the Empire. Its anti-imperialism.
