Kentucky GOP Rep. Thomas Massie has officially drawn a Donald Trump-backed challenger.

Ed Gallrein, who preemptively earned the president’s endorsement last week, launched his campaign Tuesday to oust the seven-term lawmaker Trump began targeting earlier this year over Massie’s opposition to Republicans’ megalaw.

“This district is Trump Country. The President doesn’t need obstacles in Congress — he needs backup,” Gallrein said in a statement. “I’ll defeat Thomas Massie, stand shoulder to shoulder with President Trump, and deliver the America First results Kentuckians voted for.”

Rand Paul dines with Thomas Massie after White House lunch snub

President Donald Trump said Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was the only Republican to skip out on the White House Rose Garden lunch on Tuesday, with the senator dining instead with Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY).

“We’re just missing one person. You’ll never guess who that is,” Trump said during his speech, referring to the Kentucky fiscal hawk. “He automatically votes no on everything.”

Trump told the GOP senators who were present at the event, “Look, if he wanted to come, I’d probably let him come.”

Following Trump’s snub in his speech this afternoon, Paul posted a photo with Massie on X.

“I actually wasn’t invited to the White House lunch today, but that’s ok I had a previously scheduled Liberty Caucus Lunch with ⁦@MassieforKY,” Paul wrote.

Am I part of that august assemblage?

I'm thinking not, because I just sent Massie $100.
I didn't know you considered yourself "MAGA." But I don't know. You seem to realize Trump is evil and don't make excuses for him but just seem unwilling to fully let go. Kind of like when I realized John Kerry was evil but I had already voted for him in the primary decided to just gring my teeth through it. This is what woke me up.

You have to know by know that Trump was in on the COVID bioweapon release right? Whitney Webb exposed the fact that he had BlackRock's plans for COVID 19 back in 2019 prior to COVID being declared a pandemic by W.H.O. and yet he (and Dr. Fauci) were downplaying it up through February 2020 as he (Trump) told Bob Woodward. Yeah he did try to keep the Chinese out once the outbreak became public, but he allowed the U.S. military to participate in the Wuhan games in 2019 and so by the time he was trying to keep the Chinese out, COVID was already in the U.S. (I'm not sure if I or @PAF were talking about Whitney Webb on this forum first but she and James Corbett are what Alex Jones only pretends to be, actual conspiracy fact journalists)

And while @Brian4Liberty always gets this fact wrong, COVID 19 was the perfect bioweapon. It killed exactly who it was intended to kill, old people who should have been collecting Social Security for the next 20 years. Social Security is now insolvent in a way that it has never been before and it will only pay out 75% of benefits in 2035. There are only limited ways to fix this. 1) increase the birthrate (put the brakes on abortion and voluntary child sterilization). 2) massively increase immigration (Trump's push for 600,000 Chinese students and amnesty for Latino hotel workers, farm workers and factory workers) 3) raise taxes 4) cut benefits 5) kill off the old people.

Option 1 could only work as a long term solution and the problem is that a lot of women are so scared of getting pregnant that they are preemptively sterilizing themselves. (Nobody told them apparently that IUDs are 99% effective.) Option 2? Well Trump would have to fight against people like you to pull that off. That's part of the reason he's done crazy things like sending a gay barber from Venezuela with no gang affiliation to a torture prison in El Salvador. Obama quietly deported more people than Trump but Trump is making a lot of noise this go round so that he can seem to you that he's actually doing something. Options 3 and 4 are politically non viable, though it looks like Trump is going to push through option 4 anyway. The pandemic was about Option 5. It mostly killed off old people. In 2010 in a "tax law" class I heard a professor say this. "Students keep asking me what I think about government run healthcare. The social security fund will be bankrupt by 2040. Grandma needs to die. So we need government healthcare." Well government run healthcare isn't killing grandma off fast enough. Why do you think Andrew Cuomo sent COVID infected grandmas back to nursing homes despite Trump sending medical ships to New York to take in patients. And yes that was the right move for Trump to do. I didn't say he was 100% evil. But Andrew Cuomo? Yeah, he's 100% evil. He needs to lose this race in New York the same way John McCain needed to lose to Obama in 2008 after singing "Bomb bomb Iran." I'm not a fan of Mamdani but the system needs to be shown that it can't whitewash over Andrew Cuomo's mass murder of old people.

There are other bad things on the horizon, but I doubt you're ready to hear them.

Unfortunately, upon further investigation, it appears that this Bryce Lipscomb running this group is a leftist or neocon in disguise....
That's what I'm worried about.

I have been seeing a lot of stuff on social media that looks superficially pro-Massie, but has the scent of something designed to make him and his supporters look bad to the Republican primary voters whose support he needs. I am suspicious that a good amount of what I've been seeing is fake support from people who want Massie to lose.

Entirely possible. I've noticed the same thing.

Another possibility is that they are driven by hatred of Trump, so if Massie is getting under Trump's skin, they will encourage and support that as much as they can. Could be both at the same time.
