Trump just stated he is open to funding planned parenthood... Is this the final straw?

No this isn't the final straw because teh Donald hates immigrants. (Even though he hires them himself)

If you read the article, he says absolutely there should be no funding of the abortions and that is the part people are really upset about. I don't think people care whether or not the other services are paid for with taxes.

Either Trump has no idea money is fungible either, or he does know and rightly assumes R voters are too fucking stupid to know that even after being schooled by Ron several times over the years. In any case, it's not a lie to say that Trump is endorsing tax-payer funded abortions (just like most R pols).

Not here too. Damn. No one hates immigrants. What we are sick of are ILLEGAL ALIENS. Got it?

Sure, no one hates immigrants. But I wouldn't say we are all sick of illegal immigrants either. I'm not. The trouble I have is when I have this conversation with people (and I am not saying you are among this category, I'm just pontificating):

Random 'conservative': "legal immigration is ok, period. But we are a nation of laws, and illegal aliens cannot be permitted..."
Farrar: "What would you do if congress passed a law requiring you to register your guns"
Random 'conservative': "Congress can go shove their laws up their ass"

It seems to me that people on this wave-length must find something inherently difficult or even wrong with legal immigration. That difficulty may be with lose of jobs (economic fallacy by Austrian standards), expanding the welfare state (perhaps a fair point, but are we diagnosing the symptom or the disease), etc...

Otherwise they wouldn't be talking about building walls or e-verify. They would be talking about expanding or even eliminating immigration quotas. They would be talking about removing government regulations on one of the most precious of "goods", labor. They would be talking about expanding work visas, even for unskilled workers.

People can have a problem with illegal immigration, but I'm not convinced that people who obsess over it are taking a free market perspective when they do. And that is the perspective I concern my self with.

Just my two cents.

Trump will eventually just backtrack on it, or say he was taken out of context or whatever, and Trump supporters will eat it up and be on their way as if nothing happened

The problem Randal has here is that voting for any foreign aid to Israel is no different than funding planned parenthood since the Israeli government guarantees free or subsidized abortions for their citizens. And he did vote to help them fund their military. Of course lucky for him; no GOP person would dare bring that bit of hypocrisy up in the mass media.

Except for the fact that he addressed this in the debate directly.

I don't want to discuss that jackass Trump anymore.

So lets talk about PP. I'm pro-life. But I am not a religious wack job and support birth control. PP gives out birth control, they don't just provide abortions. We can't control how PP uses the money they get. I can't get behind potentially cutting off funding for birth control that would prevent the need for abortions. So all this defund PP talk just seems pointless to me.

The abortion argument is toxic for the GOP because the nominee has been forced into a position that hurts in the general election. Rand tried to take the topic off the table on day 1 of his campaign, but foolishly enough they have all jumped in on it again.

If money is fungible; then Randal voted to fund abortions in Israel by voting to give them foreign aid. It is as simple as that.

This isnt even close to the same. We give them money under the premise that they spend it with us.

So say we give them $500 million and they buy $500 million in airplanes from Northrop. Not a single dollar goes to their abortion schemes, because I have every single dollar accounted for.

PP doesnt have ever dollar accounted for. Thats why its fungible.

Opposing birth control is 100% rational, particularly if you want a nation that is economically viable and will have anything resembling a future. The people who are wack jobs are the people who think free love and becoming voluntarily sterile can result in a nation with a future. Europe is being conquered by Islam because their governments are literally having to try and pay people to have kids, whereas the Mohammedans are popping out future generations like no tomorrow.

Forget de-funding planned parenthood. We ought to be shutting them down completely and burning down the buildings that they used to be located in celebration.

You belong over in Bernie Sanders' camp with this sort of nonsense.

Then you're not a fiscal conservative or someone who believes in Constitutionally limited government.

Sure I am. Handing out birth control is cheaper than 18 years of welfare.
