He was the most senior commander, the most influential commander whose nickname was shadow commander who just happened to threaten the United States on behalf of their leader.

Rouhani's statements on July 22nd, 2018 to which Trump responded (and then Soleimani countered) were also Non-Aggression Principle statements about how Iran would retaliate if America attacked. Rouhani made these statements in response to sanctions that violated international law.

I'm Christian, we're actually part of the galactic police force. On some planets, particularly planets with pizza trees, we've found there's no need even for wellness checks. But deporting people from the U.S. because they badmouth Israel, well that's justified because we are at war and defending against an ongoing invasion.

The drought caused 75 percent of Syria's farms to fail and 85 percent of livestock to die. The Syrian drought was likely the worst in at least the past 900 years and almost definitely the worst in 500 years.

This caused the balance of power to shift in that country and a civil war.

The Syrian people demanded change of government but Iran intervened and when they couldn't do it on their own they asked for Russia's help.

Obama was president at the time and he went to congress and asked for authority to go to war against Assad.

Trump threatened secondary sanctions last time he was president and that's when their president and Soleimani threatened war and to block the strait of hormuz.
