I don't know how anyone can possibly believe Putin would cede ANY of the four Russian oblasts which were formerly Ukrainian.
Russians would not allow it. It would be ILLEGAL.
This means I do NOT believe ANY reports that Russia is being asked to swap ANY of its constitutionally-incorporated regions in Ukraine.
Witkoff is one of Trump's connections to the real deciders, not the fake ones. What Witkoff told Putin is that the U.S. AND U.K. and FRANCE, GERMANY, etc.
ALL OF THEM >> are prepared to eventually sign a document that recognizes Crimea AND ALL FOUR OBLASTS are Russian. The U.S. will do it first.
The others may wait until new Ukrainian leadership also recognizes this change.
There is no way in hell Putin would even attend a summit like this if that were not the case.
It is why Witkoff went to Moscow and it is why Trump won't allow Zelensky to attend.
There may still be a timeline, however, because Trump is highly likely to also go to Russia.
What the UK, France and Germany say must be carefully interpreted. Yes, they support Ukraine.
But they are looking past Zelensky, and he knows it.
