Trey Gowdy Calls Out the Media on Benghazi - Awesome Speech!

I will wait to see if anything of any value comes of it.

I have seen senators and reps beat panelists over the head and declare their treachery...and then everything continues as before...

I couldn't care less about Benghazi.

Obama's drone policy that is responsible for the deaths of at least 2,000 innocent civilians >>>> a few dead ambassadors

It's far more profound than that. How about deliberately shipping weapons to terrorist organizations in Syria? Hopefully, Gowdy goes for broke in this investigation since the stand-down from Africom had more nefarious implications.

What are you shocked about? The laughing staff members should clue everyone in that this is largely just a political football. Not only could they apparently not care less, they are such to the point that their smirks and grins, knowing full well they were being broadcast and/or recorded, could not be contained.

I feel for the families of the dead but let's be realistic, they shouldn't have been there. Was it incompetency that they were not pulled? Yes. It was not incompetency that they were there in the first place, though. They knew full well of the danger. They probably were directly aware of the CIA meddling as well.

I would unabashedly welcome Hillary Clinton to be indicted for her incompetence if Crimes Against Humanity (and a litany of others) are implausible (at best) but I find myself rather 'meh' on the topic. I'm not saying I don't care as it is an important example of the consequences of empire but it doesn't really touch upon the issues I'd like to see touched upon.

Having no personal vestment in the issue I can say with a certainty that those smirking and grinning ought to be fired. Yesterday.

And Hillary Clinton, Obama, Holder, Bush, Brzezinski, Gates, Clapper, Panetta, Brennan, Yoo, McChrystal, Alexander, McRaven, Powell, Rice, Hayden, Kissinger, Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, et. al (there are well over a hundred more), ought to be tried for a variety of war crimes/crimes against humanity.

Is Gowdy even mentioning this?

Dunno. Haven't heard anything.
Not many have brought up that aspect. It might cast doubt to the general public on whether they should be particularly sympathetic of those killed.

If they were actively involved in the procurement of arms to Syrian forces, it would be harder to paint them as simple victims of Islamic extremism or social unrest.

I'm not saying one way or another that people should or shouldn't be sympathetic to the victims. They shouldn't have been there, is all.

There are no such thing as 'crimes against humanity' just crimes against individuals.
I would beg to differ.

Either way, they are directly responsible for the murder and displacement of many hundreds of thousands of people in various countries around the globe.

I would argue that poisoning the earth for near eternity in certain regions of their war theaters are indeed crimes against the collective world. If not, it is of little issue. Try them for every thousand of individual murders that could be named. Or the poisoning of the individual children birthed. Or for the individual taxpayer robbed to fund their extravagances.

How many innocent people did Gowdy put in prison? He is a scumbag ex-prosecutor. Benghazi was probably some black ops site gone bad, the media buzz is just a distraction so that if some bomb shell does actually ever come out the public will be so sick of hearing about it that they won't care.

What difference does it make?

I will say though, I find it interesting that people would click onto a thread, clearly labeled with "Benghazi" in the subject, only to reply they could care less about "Benghazi." Wow.

I have yet to hear that from the Republicans involved in this.

Um because maybe because the Benghazi panel is a stupid smoke and mirrors political stunt that masks the warmongering that both Republicans involved and the Obama administration clamor for?
