Topic for people who are frustrated with Iowa

The National HQ is absolutely horrible and if RP doesn't place above 5th, they should ALL be fired. RP has gotten where he is BECAUSE of the grassroots, not the campaign. The campaign asked us for $12 million at the beginning of this quarter "to win Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina". If we don't pull a win in NH, RP better realize someone at his campaign isn't doing their job and NEEDS to be fired.

I have been to the National HQ and it was absolutely HORRENDOUS...it was dirty and it did not look professional. Linda Hunnicutt from the Granny Warriors visited the National HQ in December right after Dec. 16th(the Tea Party), she found empty beer bottles/cans in the kitchen and when she asked why they were there...someone at the HQ said they had "celebrated" the success of Dec. 16th.
Also, none of the staff at the National HQ had a Ron Paul bumper sticker on their car, she asked why, they stated because they are "afraid" of what may happen to their vehicle.

Did anyone else catch this... watching CSPAN one voter counting the pieces of paper (it's hard to even call them ballots, they looked like note pads a pharmaceutical rep-no offense, I used to be one) commented, 'oh, look, same handwriting'.... smiling, 'looks like they voted twice'...

Well we gave it a good try. It doesn't look good though. I was hoping to use this and NH to see how much better we do then the polls. Looks like they were pretty close. I don't think people care for liberty anymore. It was fun while it lasts. Looks like it's either Christian Facism or Communism for us. Any ideas on a good freedom loving country?

I've got to say that I agree with you. This is just the topper for me. I've been hanging in with them, but I have had it! Incompetence abounds everywhere.

I was wondering if this country would wake up before we are all reduced to sackcloth and ashes. I guess I have my answer. There is always hope for 2012 when this once world super power will be forgotten in the dustbin of history!!! I was really hoping we would not have to hit bottom to realize the people we put in office are dirty rotten scoundrels.

What is wrong with you all? Its 1 state out of 50, a state that is very highly religious (which means gullible for Huck/Rom), and what really does Iowa offer? Corn? Failure state imo.

Do NOT be mad at the Campaign - If you saw Dr. Paul on CNN this morning he looked beat, like he hasn't had a good night sleep in a while.
Do NOT be mad at the Iowa Supporters - They busted their asses for the campaign, they need to be praised for their hard work not put down.

If you think that we're done after one state then I don't know what to tell you, go home and vote for Huck if you want to just give in. I say we use this to gauge our campaign and double our efforts, I'm disappointed we didn't take #1 (or even #3) but that has just motivated me to start converting more people around me.

Edit Not sarcasm

Good lord people! Get a grip! This is one state filled with jesus freaks terrified of evil terrrists. There's no way the voters of Iowa (did you see all those old people?!?!) represent voters across the country. Don't give up the ship over this one state. Its far from over.

It's pretty close to a tie for 3rd right now. I wouldn't be giving up so easily.

Most of us knew that 3rd would be the absolute best we could get in Iowa. We'll do much better in NH.

"Any ideas on a good freedom loving country?"
Yes, Belieze

Looks like I better get ready to purchase property.

I'm not going to vote for Huck but if it doesn't improve in NH then I'm saving my money and buying more gold and a passport because it may be getting close quitting time. The big problem is we didn't do better then we polled. That $20 million meant $hit. Didn't do a damn thing.

Problem is Obama will win Iowa, which will take Independents from RP in NH. Also, McCain beat RP without trying and is leading NH. Fred now has momentum by over-exceeding expectations.

This all fell wrong for RP. Only a miracle in NH will turn things around, and I don't see it.

HOWEVER, RP has my support the whole way. I will write him in for president if need be. We need to keep pushing RP and make this a movement to usurp the neocons next election.

Whatever neocon goes up against a DEM for prez will be slaughtered. We need to keep pushing RP to get as many delegates as possible for the convention and use it as a platform to change the GOP back to what it is supposed to be, but I'm afraid too many RP supporters don't care about the GOP, so how does the movement go on?

Can you blame us? Most of the GOP base is stupid and has been for a long time.

I hope this is wrong. I'd be frick'n pissed. Did I send them too much money? Maybe it would be better spent on the blimp and what not.

For God's sake (note irony) people - Pat Robertson won this chock-full-of-idiots state! Pat Buchanan won New Hampshire.

I can't believe people are so fucking stupid that they would vote for Huckabee. How gullible can they be? Very, very sad.

However pissed I am - I will redouble my support for Dr. Paul!

I caution people not to take so much from the Iowa result or to blame Iowa RP supporters.

As I mentioned in another thread, the ratio of donors per million for Iowa was on the low side compared to other states. Clearly, they weren't as enlightened, which was evident both by donations and the results still coming in tonight.

Therefore, our expectations should not have been high in the first place. To have finished in a SOLID fifth place is good news - in fact, Dave from the Iowa HQ had written here, before heading out to caucus, that "fifth place would be great".

I think we should all be prepared to rally round the Iowa supporters, to console them, not to bash them for not doing more. Most poured their hearts into this effort. There just weren't enough of them.
