I joined the RP party late.. way after the date to switch parties.. is there absolutely no way I can make my vote count in the primaries?

Thanks for any insights

I think itis too late to switch parties but you can register as a new voter until jan 11. you could try calling the NY board of elections who knows they may let you switch.

The only thing you could do is move to a different state. How do you feel about New Hampshire? :P Anyway, you can still send money, and work to convert others.

It clearly states on the top of the form

IN ORDER TO VOTE:

:to vote in an election, you must mail or deliver this form to your county board no later than 25 days before the election in which you want to vote

To me it says nothing about August....can we get some clarification on this?

I too am in New York and am a registered Democrat who supports Ron Paul. It's too late for us to change parties for the primary but it's not too late to support Paul here and to help get his message out. I think Paul could do very well in the New York primary.

I do plan on voting for Mike Gravel or Dennis Kucinich in the Democratic primary (I haven't decided which yet.)
