Tom Tancredo launches Stop Chris Christie PAC

I hope they raise a lot, assuming they use it only to stop true RINO's. I wonder how Tom feels about Rand? I honestly can't guess which candidate Tancredo would back for president. He's one of the most unique guys in politics IMHO.

He and Kobach endorsed Romney in 2008. That's when Romney first started talking to Kobach.

Then he endorsed Santorum in 2012. Santorum was talking about getting rid of chain immigration and other things while Romney was only talking about the illegals.

It made sense out of the field.

Tom Tancredo

Arrived at The Hole in the Wall Lodge near Akron, Iowa. Congressman Steve King is a gracious host and this annual pheasant hunt is great fun. As we are unloading the guns these two fellows pull up and announce they are Chris Christie's security guys from New Jersey. I swear this is true. I introduced myself as "Tom." Apparently Christie is only going to be here for lunch tomorrow. Not hunting. Tsk tsk.

  • Tom Tancredo Kim and I decided to have lunch in Lamars instead of risking a possible scene at the Christie event. Did not want to make any sort of problem for Steve. Not sure if he knows I filed papers a couple weeks ago for the Stop Chris Christie PAC. will be having Home of Blue Bunny Ice Cream.

We Rand is the only GOP candidate even close to Tancredo on marijuana. Really that position of Tancredo's shocked me. And the fact that CFL endorsed candidate Ken Buck was the one who ultimately led the fight against marijuana decriminalization makes me seriously question their vetting process.

But Tancredo has been a hawk, I don't know if marijuana is even on his radar when it comes to supporting someone for President. I don't know why you bring up Ken Buck, I don't believe they were ever in the same race.

Tom Tancredo led the fight for decriminalization of marijuana in Colorado. Ken Buck led the fight against it. So on that issue they were very much in the "same race". The reason I brought it up is that I assumed with Tancredo taking the "conservative" mantle in 2008 he was as much of hawk on the GWOD (global war drugs) as he was on the GWOT (global war on terror). Ken Buck is a hawk and yet he got a CFL pseudo endorsement. It was big stink here for a while until Ron came out and said he was fine with the endorsement. In retrospect I think Ron was out of the loop on that but didn't want to kick the legs out from under his own organization. Anyway it seems Tancredo is closer to liberty than the CFL endorsed Ken Buck. Then again, Tancredo actually ran against Ron and Buck didn't.

As for whether or not marijuana is "on the radar", you'd have to ask Tancredo that. It's his PAC. If I felt strong enough on an issue to lead a ballot initiative regarding it, then certainly that would be something I would consider when vetting presidential candidates. What good is a statewide law decriminalizing pot if you end up with a president hell bent on enforcing federal pot laws?

Tancredo hates Jeb Bush(third world Miami), Perry(NAFTA superhighway), Rubio( generic amnesty pusher) and Christie.

He hunted with Cruz and Steve King. If Tancredo endorses Cruz over Rand it wont make much difference. It is when a firebrand like Tancredo endorses Romney or if Steve King endorsed Christie it would matter slightly more.
