That right there is the problem.. everyone in grassroots relying on someone else to do everything for them. You think Im leaning on Alabama HQ or national HQ to tell me what to do? F THAT! Im out there.. EVERY DAMN DAY. By Saturday night I will have hit over 4,000 homes BY MYSELF!! I made over 500 RON PAUL cardstock signs and have over half up all around my city. Did anyone from HQ tell me to do it? HELL NO! ITS CALLED INITIATIVE and Creativity. EMAIL AND TALK to others in your state and bordering states tonight and tommorrow. Then you will discover how easy it is to wake people up to Dr Paul!

In the past, Michigan was later in the election cycle where front runners were already decided. But MI is a big state. The retail politics done in smaller states like IA and NH don't work. Here is where advertising is CRITICAL. HQ has done NOTHING here...it is all grassroots. But other campaigns are advertising like crazy. PLUS, they have the machine working with them, i.e., Congressman Hoekstra is a Romney supporter. Romney's office is right above the Ottawa County GOP's. So, who do you think is going to get Ottawa County? Hell, the county GOP says we're a cult just to marginalize us further!
I have already signed up. There is no list for my precinct as of yet.

All Michigan RP supporters need to help a gentleman on these boards get his radio spots up and running in Michigan. He's looking for a PAC or group to run them through and the ads are very good. PM MichiganJack if you can help him.

How about the rest of the grassroots around the nation steps up and funds Michigan and S. Carolina now? I don't have money to donate anymore...
You guys are telling us to get off the boards and DO something, but your the ones that CAN do something by funding grassroots ads in Michigan.
I'll be canvassing, but I can't donate anymore. I will donate for the later states ads, but right now I am out of cash and we have projects that need money.
Dems in Michigan are going to vote for whichever Republican they feel they have the best chance of beating... not Ron Paul.
Although, if IA and NH was any indication, maybe we can convince them that Ron Paul will be the easiest to beat! We better hope that the campaign's media surge doesn't hit MI too hard if we want to go this route.

If the grassroots just gave money for ads like they did in IA and NH, we'd do very well. But, it seems the enthusiasm level for Mich is not shared by the grassroots and especially not by National HQ. We at least need another decent rally like the one from U-M. It seems that ever since then, our meetup groups (especially metro Det) have went into shambles and 5-10% of the members do 80+% of the work. No wonder our expectations are starting to dwindle... We haven't had a good sign wave in weeks now. Furthermore, none of the meetup heads are putting anything substantial together (rallies, sign waves, lit drops, etc) in these last 6 days. I'm starting to see the media really push McCain and this is bad if we can't off-set him taking our ind/dems. The up side is that our signs/bumperstickers are everywhere, but this didn't do much for NH.

Of course they will. You have to state your case and ask. Put up a post in the grassroots forum stating your case, ask, and leave instructions for an address for the materials to be mailed too.
People in other states want to help whoever is in Michigan. You have to ask for what you need help with. Put up poots in the grassroots forum and at your own meetups message boards.
Everyone please know, if time is short, don't order materials from HQ at this point. They are for whatever reason, slow at getting stuff out. Order from anywhere else if you need material ASAP.
It took them over 6 weeks to get 100 lawn signs out to me, to late for me to get them all out before party registration deadlines in my state.
