Time to Come Clean, RPF -- Predictions for 2013 Reflections

I predict gold and silver will enter bull market in Spring of 2014 and be volatile as hell thereafter.

Edit: Ctiger2 just read my mind.

Interestingly, all of my 2013 predictions turned out perfect, and yet my predictions conclude that we are on the verge of an impending total calamity, unlike yours which seem to predict unicorns farting rainbows whenever you put fingers to keyboard. :)

No one knows the future. The economy could be in for a period of recession. Jordan should realize that, and indeed he has already explicitly acknowledged this possibility. Or, the economy could be in for a period of prosperity. That is very possible. If you think it is simply not possible, I suggest you read Gary North's Crisis Investing: Opportunities and Profits in the Coming Great Depression. It is available for just one penny! Scoop it up. It will tell you exactly why it's inevitable that total calamity is around the corner. One little caveat:

It was written in 1980.

All the same reasons, all the same logic, that you have for thinking doom is at our doorstep, all those same exact reasons and logic applied in 1980. Doom was inevitable. Casey proved it. But... it didn't happen. We were in for, not a Great Depression, but a 20-year period of relative prosperity and for what I think I've heard was the longest and largest secular bull market in US stock market history. That doesn't mean that the government hadn't done horrible things to wreck the economy, and that indeed they continued doing more and more such things. Casey was right about all that. It just means that his predictions and investment advice weren't wise and didn't turn out to be correct.

It's always possible to be wrong. This is because no one knows the future. The economy could be in for a period of prosperity. We just don't know.

So that is what this button is for? I was hesitant in touching it...

2014 will be the year the fraudulent metals market finally blows up. Gold $3000+ and Silver $100+ by Aug. ie Massive dollar devaluation.

That works fine for me , Aug is hot , I could take some time off ....

Well , what if the people who know the future just are not kind enough to post it here for me ?

I'm in the mood for roast beef. I think that's going to be Christmas dinner.

I was wanting to do the same , but the Mrs insists on the apple wood smoked , bone in ham I picked up. I was starting to lean to a beef roast on the grill. That way my son in Law and I could have illegal beverages and smoke shitloads of cigarettes while we tend to it ( we put the charcoal / smoker thingy in his barn ), LOL . I am enjoying these first world problems in my old age, I am starting to doubt that I had much wisdom in my youth sleeping under the stars so much :)

I predict that eating meat will still be legal.

Interesting. Ive been predicting that the Vegetable Liberation Front (VLF) makes a come back and influences congress to ban all the eating of meat. The VLF are made up of self styled "level 5 vegans" the most orthodox of vegans, who refuse to eat anything with a shadow. They have been making a comeback since their peak of popularity in the late 70's.

Lost me at the unemployment rate..

I suspect there is considerable "cooking of the books" on the others as well.

Well the unemployment rate means nothing . I look at labor force participation rate . Where we have arrived , 6 in ten people work, three of those pay Fed tax and the govt has none of the Social Sec or medicare money and they spend more than they take in . None of any of that is impressive to me .

Damn. And I've been hoping that more vegans join the roadkill club.

I boldly predict that the more the MSM tells voters they've forgotten all about how thoroughly the Democrats screwed us by shoving Obamacare down our throats, the more the voters will remember how badly the Democrats screwed us by shoving Obamacare down our throats.
