1.Petition Dr Paul to rewrite and introduce this bill!
2. Pressure by the people thru our orginization to pass it!

To require Congress to specify the source of authority under the United States Constitution for the enactment of laws, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the `Enumerated Powers Act'.
SEC. 2. SPECIFICATION OF CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY FOR ENACTMENT OF LAW.
(a) CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY FOR THIS ACT- This Act is enacted pursuant to the power granted Congress under article I, section 8, clause 18, of the United States Constitution and the power granted to each House of Congress under article I, section 5, clause 2, of the United States Constitution.
(b) CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY STATEMENT REQUIRED- Chapter 2 of title 1, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 102 the following new section:
`Sec. 102a. Constitutional authority clause
`Each Act of Congress shall contain a concise and definite statement of the constitutional authority relied upon for the enactment of each portion of that Act. The failure to comply with this section shall give rise to a point of order in either House of Congress. The availability of this point of order does not affect any other available relief.'
(c) CLERICAL AMENDMENT- The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 2 of title 1, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 102 the following new item:
`102a. Constitutional authority clause.'.

We the people foundation has a lawsuit in progress regarding personal income tax
public trial, civil suit,criminal suit, however it needs to be packaged
we must hold them accountable to thier oath

You can act locally to recall these politicians, it's not hard, even a small local group of 30 or 40 people can do it. Look it up, they hate this. You have the power.
 
Now that I think about it, aren't matters of constitutionality heard by the Supreme Court? (If they decide to take up the case). A lawsuit would not get very far (look at {I think it was}Kucinich's attempt to begin impeachment proceedings of Bush).

But, you are correct in your initial assertions. It's frightening that people like RP are a minority of one in attempting to be the legislature's conscious. "By the people" and "for the people" is a joke.

I've often said (in half drunken conversations) that we need to enact a fourth arm of government into national politics (a job that was once held by the press) as a psuedo-judicial arm to very publicly police legislative efforts for excess pork, unconstitutional components, etc. Made up of a panel of 50 common citizens (not just lawyers and professional politicians), one from each state, that serve for one year and are appointed by a lottery system with no chance to serve twice. Make their pay $1,000,000 each, so the populace finds it both patriotic and financially rewarding to serve. Their job, with the help of a staff, would be to pre-screen bills and rule on acts of impropriety of the other branches of government. (kindof a combination watch-dog group and grand jury).

This function is supposed to be performed by the media, public opinion, and the public's ability to be heard by their representatives. But we all know how well that works. The media has its own agenda and only powerful lobbying influences, have the politicians' ears. It is no wonder the system has devolved to a point of 67% public apathy. It is really a national disgrace. And yet we go so far as war with other countries to convince them that our democratic system is the "right" way to govern.

I knew if we could get a real discussion going we could come up with a viable solution!

Keep the ideas coming, then we can choose which is most viable,organize,and start the process

No i am not a lawyer but have done quit a bit of my own legal work in the past.
If we keep this discussion alive and growing we can ENACT CHANGE NOW!
Several good ideas have sprung up and we should get a plan of action to get some things started Here is what we have so far:

1. Petition Dr Paul to rewrite and introduce the The Enumerated Powers Act
2.I think we should Start nominating Reps for Recall a State Representative

They hate this, you should see them squirm and try to get out of it any way they can. Then you have a special election and vote a new guy in, and the new guys will come by your group meetings and speak because they know who is "in charge". It's fun and a great lesson in not messing with the people for all the other bastards out there.

I am not in favor of this tactic; the way to change begins at the local level, by participating and electing liberty candidates.

This type of action suggested by the OP would result in:
(1) Further alienation of Constitutional issues from the majority (no politician or “sane” person would dare bring up the Constitution for fear of being identified as a lunatic.)
(2) A government crack down, imagine political parties such as CP or LP added to the terrorist watch list.
(3) And would accomplish absolute nothing, other than allowing us to vent some of our frustrations.

WWRPD? Ron Paul has already given us the answer to what he should do. I vote we follow his advice and work from within the system to bring about change. This type of tactic is just what they want... when we go off our rockers they bounce on us and we end up looking like we are all crazy.

if a crime was committed against one of your family members would you just LET IT GO?

I sent an e-mail to my state's 'Division of Elections' asking how to impeach, or have a recall election, 'cause I didn't know. :D And then I looked at the state Constitution and it said something about the General Assembly having the power to impeach. :)
 
A Lawsuit Against Mcain right now would stop him in his tracts!
Whether or not it can be won is not a reason to NOT do It
We need to file it on PURE PRINCIPLE and OUTRAGE!!!
