After having been exposed to Ron Paul, all the other contenders just seem so lame. Yeah, Pawlenty hits some conservative notes, but in the end, it's probably just lip service. He's got "saying what I need to say to win, do whatever I want to do when elected" written all over him. His foreign policy seems to continue the Bush-Obomba theme, which must stop.
"when it comes to [standing up against] bullies, might makes right". There's definitely an aspect of this statement I agree with. On a personal basis, standing up against a bully is sometimes necessary. While physicality is a last resort only as a matter of defense, strength of backbone, courage to speak up, etc., are pre-requisites to self-respect.
However, in the US political realm, question: who is the bully? who is bigger and is sticking its nose where it doesn't belong, looking for a fight? And who, perchance, is bullying the US, and in what way, to deserve government authorized military might brought against it?
"Might makes right" -- I prefer "right makes right"
