it just seems too good to be true, this is a physical attempt at an american monetary revolution and ron paul is trying the same thing politically - not only that, the drug war, the troops, they ALL agree with these.
if these guys only knew.
"I dont need their sympathies" -Ron PaulMaybe if we flew a plane over the crowd with a message in lights about Ron Paul </s>
But seriously, I do think there are people there who would be sympathetic to the Ron Paul R3volution if they knew more about it.

Just saw this one on my FB newsfeed.

It would be great if we could win them over.
But it's not exactly the kind of thing that happens overnight.
Sure it's easy to agree on civil liberty, foreign policy, and I guess even monetary policy now (awesome! really).
But after that, you're usually left trying to convince the far left to come over to the far right.
And trying to explain to a leftie why their social safety net is harmful and dangerous might be the only thing harder than explaining to a right wing hawk why their war is harmful and dangerous.
But any political professional will tell you, you don't need a voter to agree with the candidate on 100% of the issues. They just need to be convinced that the candidate agrees and will act on as many of the issues as matches their threshold for wanting to vote for them. This isn't anything new many of us on this forum don't agree with Ron Paul on 100% of the issues but over time we've learned what he's about, his record and his integrity and it's enough to vote for him over the other non-choices we get every four years.

My own pair of pennies: If we don't teach a bunch of people the difference between capitalism and corporatism, we lose this thing.
/sigh
So much brainwashing, the media and politicians have really done their jobs. It's no wonder so many have this 'us against them' mentality that is so apparent in many aspects of our daily lives, that's just reflected in our foreign policy.
Do you really think they'll respond well to this? They don't recognize you as their teacher or leader. Instead you should come with your own non RP sign/shirt ("End the Fed", "Bring the Troops Home", etc) and build some common ground. Don't disagree with them. Then say something like "I think the biggest problem is the consolidation of power, you know the saying 'Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely?'. I've come to realize that if the federal government and the federal reserve didn't have so much power they wouldn't be run by sociopaths and controlled by corporations."just go down their and say you want to help educate the troops.
