thousands of people descending on wall st?

it just seems too good to be true, this is a physical attempt at an american monetary revolution and ron paul is trying the same thing politically - not only that, the drug war, the troops, they ALL agree with these.

if these guys only knew.

Maybe if we flew a plane over the crowd with a message in lights about Ron Paul </s>

But seriously, I do think there are people there who would be sympathetic to the Ron Paul R3volution if they knew more about it.

haha just kidding....

Nice 'Capitalism does not work' sign in the background at 2:41

LOL yea noticed that, what can I tell you it's New York, all kinds are going to jump out of the wood work. Some of these people aren't going to be very educated as far as how the Federal Reserve impacts their daily lives and the difference between Capitalism and Corporatism.

Just saw this one on my FB newsfeed.

It would be great if we could win them over.
But it's not exactly the kind of thing that happens overnight.
Sure it's easy to agree on civil liberty, foreign policy, and I guess even monetary policy now (awesome! really).
But after that, you're usually left trying to convince the far left to come over to the far right.
And trying to explain to a leftie why their social safety net is harmful and dangerous might be the only thing harder than explaining to a right wing hawk why their war is harmful and dangerous.

But any political professional will tell you, you don't need a voter to agree with the candidate on 100% of the issues. They just need to be convinced that the candidate agrees and will act on as many of the issues as matches their threshold for wanting to vote for them. This isn't anything new many of us on this forum don't agree with Ron Paul on 100% of the issues but over time we've learned what he's about, his record and his integrity and it's enough to vote for him over the other non-choices we get every four years.

^this exactly.

I work on Wall Street, I do think going down their and educating them on the Federal Reserve and Some Economic History may do some good, but I'd be careful not to tell them outright your a conservative or libertarian just go down their and say you want to help educate the troops.

The are getting pretty stinky... their signs make little to no sense ("human need before greed" or "End Capialism" or "I support Farts") and they spend the days walking in a like drumming so freaking loud you can hear it everywhere... there isn't actually that many people there but the ones that are really seem to have nohing better to do and don't seem to understand what the problem truly is.

^^ That is what I'm saying.

If you all want to go try, by all means, I don't want to stop you.

I just tend to go for more average people who aren't openly hostile to my core principles, once we get beyond the few things they've incidentally identified correctly.

Yes but these are the hardest people to debate with, they don't want to hear it. they are the complete opposite of us, even if we agree on some things. At the core these people want more government over everyone's lives and we want less. They follow the likes of Karl Marx. We are better off trying to convert neocons.

/sigh

So much brainwashing, the media and politicians have really done their jobs. It's no wonder so many have this 'us against them' mentality that is so apparent in many aspects of our daily lives, that's just reflected in our foreign policy.

My own pair of pennies: If we don't teach a bunch of people the difference between capitalism and corporatism, we lose this thing.

I'm coming to NY for New Years in Times Square. I am turning 60 in Jan and NY is on my bucket list. Its the only thing on my bucket list actually, so I guess it is not a list. And I don't know where 'bucket' fits in. Anyway I will be going to Liberty Square in my Ron Paul Tshirt and if i get tasered or peppersprayed, I will make my mark in protestation.

And would anyone like to join me? See you there on Jan 1 Daylight that is whatever the weather!!!

So true. I think the wall street protests are too long in coming. At least the are doing something, which is more than the majority of Americans. They will try to keep the people split in two because that's exactly why they can continue to get away with everything they do. If we had more unity, it wouldn't be possible. Some people here don't realize how many democrats are already supporting Paul. We need them, actually.

Do you really think they'll respond well to this? They don't recognize you as their teacher or leader. Instead you should come with your own non RP sign/shirt ("End the Fed", "Bring the Troops Home", etc) and build some common ground. Don't disagree with them. Then say something like "I think the biggest problem is the consolidation of power, you know the saying 'Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely?'. I've come to realize that if the federal government and the federal reserve didn't have so much power they wouldn't be run by sociopaths and controlled by corporations."

Avoid these people like the plague. Any association with them is the last thing you want in a Republican primary. The last thing we need is a MSM story about wacky RP supporters getting arrested on wall street. This is a serious mainstream campaign to win the nomination.
