He is hedging his bets for who is best to get control of the Whitehouse.

Paul has now admitted that he will likely not be able to pull off the upset over McCain, but that we should all keep trying to take back Positions of power in the Party.

This isn't surprising at all.

I think a great deal of Ron Paul supporters will turn to Obama if Ron Paul is not around in the general election.

While I personally think that Obama is full of shit.. and has no more intention of ending the Occupation in Iraq than Hillary or McCain... he still has the image of an anti-war candidate... And to many Ron Paul supporters he will be seen as the much lesser of 3 evils.

Maybe it's the optimist in me.. But I pray most Ron Paul supporters have more common sense than to throw away all their other beliefs (limited gov't, conservative fiscal policy, etc) for the appearance of being in agreement on just one issue (the war). I have seen nothing about Obama that sets him apart from any other Democrat. He opposes the war in much the same way the rest of the Dem's have.
