This is what a POLICE STATE looks like! Ron Paul should speak out against this!!

The risk of being seen as complicit with the protesters is greater than any possible benefit.

This is a Republican primary, work within the system.

You are completely right.

And... c'mon. Are THESE the protesters you want to associate with? Really?

Did you guys notice how all the patrolmen were stunned by what was happening, well at least that's what I saw, they looked like they were in a panic not being able to help the woman screaming after a direct shot to the eye

At the beginning of this, I read an article that said that people from diverse political viewpoints were arm-in-arm at the event. Maybe I can find it again...THIS is probably the main factor keeping it out of the MSM headlines.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the central point of these protests is to end the wild spending, debt accumulation, corporatism and the wars. I did hear some "tax the rich" but it was only in one video.

I thought the whole message of this protest was anti-capitalism, pro-socialism. I know they may have the same grievances as many of us, but it seems like their solutions are completely different than ours. I mean, I saw Michael Moore was there speaking to these people. That can't be a good sign.

i think i would love to see something like this...

Congressman Paul sends out a press release Thursday morning that he would like to address the Wall Street protesters, due to the rising incidence of violence. Then he heads out to New York and goes out among them and addresses them all, I dunno like on a PA system or something.(I dunno about RP with a bullhorn...) But he could say something to the effect of,
"Many of you may know who I am but for those that do not.." brief intro about who he is. "I am addressing you this evening because of a common cause that we share. We are both fighting for Liberty and for Freedom. But it seems that there are many out here who are here that KNOW something is wrong in this country and they want to do something about it. I have come because I hope to add some direction to for the anger." share info about the Fed, whatnot. ending the war on drugs, the wars overseas...i would also address the MASSIVE college debt of all the young people and no prospect of jobs...i think the next part is very important thought. something like "This is also going to boil down between a battle of ideologies. And although more Socialism is NOT the way to go." talk about europe maybe?...and finally end with "There is also been a growing report of violence and NO ONE in America wants to see this go down that road. Therefore, I make this promise to YOU! Join our already growing support, help get me elected and I PROMISE I will not be a President of simple rhetoric, and will offer young people a seat at the table when we revitalize this country!" ehh, something like that :)

Rep 2 that.

From my experience it's far easier to convert activist-types than those complacent sheeple that comprise most of America.

Who gave this thread 1 star? Really? Why? Because the police brutality is towards socialists so its okay?

I dropped by Wall Street this past weekend. They're people. You can stand with those that disagree with you. When you both are standing against red blooded tyranny.

Yes

It is not about the protesters. What they are protesting or why.
It is about police brutality, It is the Police State.

"They do it because they know they Can."

Spot on except for the race rant in the middle that was rendered totally irrelevant by the NYPD footage that showed the police tactics are not targeted at any particular demographic.

I second that loudly, why do people always have to go down this road, speak out agaisnt injustice and stop trying to make everything about race.

Why does the Police Department conduct investigations of its own officers?

Shouldnt this be done by a neutral, third party?
