Basically, Twitter is a free instant messaging/text messaging broadcasting service where you can send a line or two of words to people who join your channel. Your slogans are concise. Twitter messages are limited to 140 characters--so the service would be ideal for you.

You may also sign up and follow other people's channels, in order to receive their messages. I believe the messages, called, "tweets" can be sent and received by cell phone, as well.

Moreover, an add-on for Firefox, TwitterFox, allows me to send and receive tweets from my web browser, without having to log into my Twitter page.
