Things statists say

"You need to make alliances with your enemies, so you can change them from the inside out"
"You need to pander to the base to get elected, then you can enact change"
"You must not hold this person's political career against them, they're really good people"
"If you hold everyone accountable all the time, you're ignorant and don't know how the political process works"

Am I doin this right?

First 5 are fine. 6 is something that rational people say, not fucking statists. 7 is not statism either, though I do not support punishment for Snowden.

I am all for public roads. Not a fucking statist remark.

This is a fair criticism of many libertarians. Not a statist remark.

Good job on most of em. Just thought I would point out where some of yall are wrong. Because I am an ass that way.

Not being an anarcho fucking capitalist does not = statist.

Sincerely,

Slutter McGee

Bullshit. If all the government did was tax us in order to build roads, the level of taxation would be so minimal that 99.9% of us would put our torches and pitchforks away, since we would be living under the most benevolent government the world has ever known. The roads defense that most people use is obscenely offensive, as we have half of our fucking income stolen by the government, only to be pissed away in the most unholy ways imaginable. So, because 0.01% of our stolen money is used to put fucking asphalt on leveled dirt, I'm supposed to accept the "roads defense" as a rational response to criticism of taxation? Bullshit.

One of my favorites.

Weed is often excluded;)

"Necessary evil."

I hate the "love it or leave it" argument. How can you actually respond to it though? To me its like disproving 2 + 2 = 5...

Is it really that low? I mean, seriously, every time I mention that roads should be privatized someone is like "Who would pay for that? You need government to do it." Why, exactly?

The figure I heard was 2%, which is really low as well. And yeah, I'd put down my pitchfork if the most they were stealing was 2%.
