Our indebtedness is the fundamental reason behind Trump's behavior. Remember Canada, Greenland, Ukraine (Russia), and now Venezuela? What do those countries have in common? That's right, natural resources or wealth. The US government is an expert plunderer, both nationally and internationally. Unfortunately for Trump, Russia has lots of nukes and won't easily allow their country to be broken up and plundered.
