I personally am not religious, but fear for a society that turns its back on Christianity.
i wouldn't call it christianity as much as private sects of christians failing. Also, the joy and wonderment of some of you pushing down your irreligious views (which are religious in nature, but you aren't intelligent enough to realize it) is laughable and hypocrisy.
I mean this is a result of an over-sexualized culture, hell-bent on destruction and personal egotism, and we got this way be secularists shoving their crap of secularism down students throats and brainwashing them.
Obviously, you guys can't make that connection. Christianity doesn't have a part in public schooling and christianity has no inroads to teach any moral or beliefs in the schools and we wonder who is shoving crap down the other's throats?
It's the moronic secularists who don't understand their beliefs are religious and intolerant and shove down their beliefs with the force of law.
But go ahead and pretend you're libertarians for free-speech and allowing the parents to teach the children as they see fit. It seems your hypocrisy knows no limits.
When this is over you will reap what you sow. Without a belief in god you will have what the marxists knew was needed to accomplish their goals. If you don't believe me look at history, which you probably don't believe because it doesn't suit your agenda, and for a further diagnosis tell me if less christianity is good in today's climate where we are losing our freedoms.
There is a connection, but the ignorant are ignorant of their ignorance.
You remind me of a friend who loved laughing at me when my football team lost. He didn't have one of course so he was above it all.
You have that same pretentiousness and smugness. Tell us who you revere and let me see if I can make the same case against people who who revere and leaders who believe what you do.
Maybe I should point out the founding fathers weren't so big on liberty themselves with power, or maybe I should point out that most libertarians use their views to exculpate their own immoral lifestyles as a problem of gov't.
Of course doing that to you would make you seem attached to something, which we all are, but the critic of everything is a believer of nothing.
The state does not like competition.
That goes for worship as well.
If you worship GOD, you are not devoting ALL of your worship TO THE STATE.
If you're a rabid athiest, you're worshipping the state by default because rabid athiests aren't athiests at all - they DO believe - and they hate God (and those who worship God). That's what makes them rabid. An athiest RP supporter isn't going to attack those who DO believe because an athiest RP supporter believes in freedom. Think about that the next time you see our rabid athiests here going after others based on what those others believe. The rabid athiests who claim to support freedom - don't support freedom at all.
Rabid athiests are actually helping the state - tools if you will - regardless of whether they happen to be claiming the title "dem" or "gop" or even (gasp) Ron Paul supporters.

We're gonna get those athiests! ....now watch this drive.
We are dealing with the false left right paradigm, the top of the gop are the same as the top of the dems...one party, two hats. The christians were brainwashed by fox and talk radio on the war issue and still are. AND the big ministers like that evil hagee who were put there to do exactly what they are doing. the churches have been infiltrated like all other institutions. They have been brainwashed for 179 years..with this dispensationalism. tones
If the Bible is not respected or believed, then what is the oath worth?
Tones, just because someone is a Christian, doesn't necessarily mean they are a conservative.
Also, don't forget about dear 'ol big government puke, Rick Warren.
Uggh... another Christian bashing thread. Why do atheists think they have the right to shove their beliefs down everyone's throats.
lol.Ah darn I thought you were gonna take a poke at pastor Huckabee, a fellow "Christian" that I would like to knock some sense into.

Why would there be a need to drive them out?
JMO, the best thing is to recognize them for what they are - believers who hate God and who would use THE STATE to squash those who do believe.
I feel the same way about those who would use THE STATE to force their belief in God on those who don't believe.
Neither is advocating freedom.
I agree with you that no religion should use the state to enforce its beliefs on the populace. The problem with atheism is that it is completely misunderstood by most Christians. And I think it works the other way, too.
