Looks like Bunning came through for us again! I repeat, I'm SO GLAD I voted for him! GO KENTUCKY!!!! -Tyler

Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn from Texas, which is as Republican as Republican can get, both voted "YES."

And John Cornyn is Chairman of the Senate CONSTITUTION Committee, NOW that's INSULTING!

Then again, we all know now... it's a CHARADE, a FACADE!

CORNYN and HUTCHINSON are NEOCON Corporate LOYALIST before ANYTHING!

So what's the word on Vitter as someone from Louisiana. The reason I ask is that he seems like one of the good guys in the senate (one of the primary senators with Inhofe who were against the immigration bill as well as today) but was working for Rudy during the primaries.

I always labeled Republicans as bad before Ron Paul's campaign, except I gave Gary Johnson some slack because I thought that he was a good governor in NM. I just learned around a year ago that good people come on both sides.

I have a decent opinion of Vitter, especially after this. I don't know if he understands the complexity of the banking system, but I have high hopes that he may take the time to listen. I guess, as with most of us, we can only hope that they make the right decisions.

ANd JOhn Cornyn is Chairman of the Senate CONSTITUTION Committee, NOW that INSULTING!

HYPOCRITE! Both him and Hutchison need to go before the now newly formed Sons Of Liberty Committee for IMMEDIATE tarring and feathering!

The reason I ask about Vitter is because I figured he was one of the good guys after taking charge in standing up against the immigration bill which caused the elites to leak that he was seeing one of the call girls from the recent DC madam scandal. I figured he was being punished for it because most of our congress/ senate critters were clients but very few were ever named. (Didn't the madam commit "suicide" as well?)

ZOMG are you kidding me? Feingold is the most libertarian senator we have right now. He voted against the Iraq War, the Patriot Act, FISA, and now this bailout. He's like the Ron Paul of the senate. See here: http://freedomdemocrats.org/node/526

Can you please stop saying this?
he is controlled opposition. Nothing more, nothing less. His stunt called the "McCain Feingold Act" solidified it for even the most hard nosed beaks. Get over it.
Granted, McCain is no different than Feingold, but plenty of people, including yourself, do not seem to understand that, and keep up the futile attempt in using it to either A) "falsely 'unify'" or B) falsely divide...
You pick one, but I know where they BOTH end up.

Looks like I'm sending senator Gorden Smth to find a new job, what a stupid fucker.

Yeah, it is his first good vote he's made...

We have to remember that just because they voted nay, doesn't mean they voted nay for the right reasons or have any clue what they are doing.

For instance:

Bernie "the socialist" Sanders voted Nay... and I still want to string him up.

LOL! He was just mad because they stripped his amendment out.

Applauds to Senator Wyden... Hate mail to Senator Smith. Smith is up for re-election this year, I was going to vote third party but I am going to vote for the socialist runing against him as I would rather have a socialist democrat than a socialist republican. It is a close race I hope this gets him out of the senate.

I thought Michael Savage made a great point today... lets throw all the republicans out that vote for this... we can't control the democrats and they are never going to be for conservative principles but we can control the republicans and we need to kick out all the non-conservatives to send a message. I will ignore the fact that his a warmonger on this one as it was a great point. It is amazing that the warmonger conservatives and the ron paul conservatives can all agree on this one.

I don't understand why Grassley voted for it. I got a letter in the mail today that all but said he would vote no. He voted against the housing bailout also.

Feinsteins' husband david blum is an investment banker. Think that had something to do with it? Bill Oreilly is FOR the bailout..guess why? He is LOSING money ....and he wants it STOPPPPED! T.

What sad... the OLD HAG probably won't make it to her next election... and she SCREWED ALL HER voters and destroyed the future for GENERATIONS to come.

I guess she's good at DICTATING to AMERICAN, the inside scopp, SHE an ABSOLUTE TYRANT to work for too!

WHAT A GREEDY MONEY WHORE to sellout CALIFORNIA and AMERICA

Yeah, Feingold has long been an advocate for creating universal health care in America, and is also an advocate of gun control, and campaign finance reform. Real libertarian.

Chuck Hagel was the most libertarian.

While those senators did the right thing by voting against the bailout, I wouldn't call them patriots unless they take their oath of office seriously and their voting record reflects that.
How many of them voted for the Patriot Act?
