'These People Aren’t Coming From Norway’: Refugees in a Minnesota City Face a Backlash

Exactly! And the next time there is an openly pro-war Republican in the Whitehouse, it will be time to hold some anti-war rallies! The current situation with Russia and Iran attacking us, while Trump keeps changing his mind means it is more important to take a stand against these belligerent and evil nations right now.

But don’t worry, because the time will come again some day to take to the streets and protest war!

LOL

Maybe we out to "think of the children" before destroying countries.

I bet more of em would start coming if we drops a few bombs in their country.

Again with the "We"

I didn't drop the bombs. Y'all make it sound like one of us on this forum has the power to call off the dogs with a phone call, but that person won't make the call so now people just have to accept that there will be refugee floods.

I am pleased that I have not paid any income tax for 12 years.

sadly there is still property, sales, gas, tobacco, cannabis and alcohol taxes..

but I have not bought beer in a while either...
but hey,, Gas prices are jumping again to pay for a drone that was where it did not belong.

Conspiracy + Theory = Conspiarcy Theory.

But how credible would be such a conspiracy theory considering that White Nationalist David Duke now supports IO over Trump ?

David Duke supported Trump in 2016 and now supports Ilhan Omar

Related

David Duke supporting Ilhan Omar isn't much different from, say, the KKK donating money to Marcus Garvey's Black Star Line. It's to be expected, I guess.

The "white replacement" of which Anti Federalist speaks isn't really a conspiracy theory, since some are open and vocal about promoting demographic change (be it culture, race, etc.), specifically to shift political power in one direction or another. It's hard to call it a conspiracy theory or racist fearmongering when it's an overtly proclaimed objective.

I know this will cause migraines for open borders libertarians here but there can either be something done to stop the muslim invasion now or we could end up like Sweden where not even the police are willing to enforce laws on the "protected" muslims due to racial backlash from the SJW left and media.

There are nice muslims but there are also muslims who despise our way of life and are intent on invading the western world with their philosophy. They don't intend on coexisting with us peacefully.

The New York Times published two articles last week on African immigrants. Their message to whites: embrace the new arrivals or you’re bigots.

The first, written by Astead Herndon, was about St. Cloud, Minnesota, and its “white identity politics.” St. Cloud has taken in many East African refugees including many from Somalia. The city—current population 70,000—was 2 percent non-white 30 years ago, but mostly due to refugees, it is now 18 percent non-white.

Residents want their representatives to stop the flow, but the New York Times calls them “anti-Muslim,” “xenophobic,” and “white, anti-immigration activists,” and dismisses fears of a “cultural threat.” Even though Mr. Herndon is writing about non-whites replacing whites, he calls “white replacement” a “racist conspiracy theory tied to the declining birthrates of white Americans.” The opening paragraph claims St. Cloud has had only a “few thousand” migrants, but the real figure is closer to 12,000.

Mr. Herndon mentions crime and notes a Somali migrant stabbed 10 people at a St. Cloud mall in 2016, but claims “there is no demonstrated link between immigrants and criminal behavior.” He also portrays concerned citizens as cranks: John Palmer, a retired university professor, gets a “daily intake of news from xenophobic and conspiratorial sites.” He gets the brushoff for suggesting the new migrants are less intelligent than native Americans. (Fact check: true.)

Another concerned citizen, Bob Carrillo, put a picture of his white grandchildren on the coffee table when Mr. Herndon interviewed him. The reporter claims that this is “meant to amplify the emotional impact of his xenophobic thesis: that Muslims pose an existential threat to the safety of his family.”

One person was punished for a sensible comment to The New York Times. Kim Crockett, vice president of the conservative Minnesota think-tank Center of the American Experiment, was quoted as saying, “I think of America, the great assimilator, as a rubber band, but with this—we’re at the breaking point . . . . These aren’t people coming from Norway, let’s put it that way. These people are very visible.” Her think-tank suspended her and forced her to apologize for stating the obvious.

A few days later, the Times covered African migrants coming to Portland, Maine, a city about the same size as St. Cloud. Unlike St. Cloud, most residents are said to be happy with the new arrivals. The Times claimed in the headline that Portland needs new people and that Africans are the answer. However, the subhead hints otherwise: “The surge has opened a debate in the city, which needs new residents but also has filled its shelters.”

The article says the Africans have swamped the city’s municipal fund and its homeless shelters, but reports happily that Mayor Ethan Strimling thinks African immigration will solve Portland’s population problem: “[W]hy would we want to stop that, especially when it costs us so little money?” Mayor Strimling said he was glad to hear it when President Trump said he might send detained illegals to sanctuary cities.

The only official worried about costs is city manager Jon Jennings. He says Portland is relying on outside donations to manage the influx and is running out of shelter space. He wants to cut the funding that attracts asylum seekers. Portland promotes itself as the one American city that offers welfare to migrants who don’t yet have asylum status (ordinarily they’re not eligible for welfare). This reckless policy leaves Portland short of cash for its own needs.

But the word is out on Portland’s open-handed policy, and foreigners keep coming; 250 showed up in just one week in June. The Times sees this as a temporary challenge that will ultimately benefit Portland, but the article says nothing about whether the newcomers work or are even looking for jobs.

Both articles paint a rosy picture of Africans; the problem is the natives. In Minnesota, it’s white xenophobes. In Maine, it’s a lack of funding. Both can be overcome if Americans commit to multiculturalism.

Aside from “diversity,” the Times never explains how Africans are a benefit. In fact, they are a disaster. USA Today named St. Cloud the worst Minnesota city in 2018. It has the highest poverty rate, highest unemployment rate, and a crime rate 63 percent higher than the national average.

More than half of St. Cloud’s blacks and nearly 42 percent of its foreign-born are poor. Retired Professor Palmer presented a report at a 2018 town hall meeting that showed Somalis have a higher rate of poverty, higher unemployment, lower median income, and a lower percentage looking for work than native Minnesotans. He argued the Somalis cause white flight, which explains why St. Cloud is the only Minnesota city with a declining population.

Somalis are a financial drain. Minnesota spent $81 million on refugees in 2015 alone, and many Somalis are also milking the system. The local Minneapolis Fox affiliate reported in 2018 that Somalis flew out of Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport in 2017 with an estimated $100 million in cash. Most of that was siphoned-off welfare and went to jihadi-controlled parts of Somalia.

Daycare fraud is big business. Fozia Ali, a Minneapolis suburb park-board member, stole over $1 million from state childcare services.

Somalis bring crime, which has spiked nearly 56 percent in Minnesota’s “Little Mogadishu” since 2014. Most homicides go unsolved because Somalis won’t talk to police, but Somalis still clamor for more police to protect them from gangs.

Somalis are at least a third of Minneapolis’ black population, and blacks were suspected perpetrators in 74 percent of violent crimes from 2009 to 2014. Under 19 percent of the state population is black. Nearly 70 Somalis—mostly from Minnesota—have joined or been caught trying to join an Islamist terror group, usually al-Shabaab, a Somali affiliate of al-Qaeda.

Maine has similar problems. Portland is begging for the rest of the state to cover the costs of housing hundreds of foreigners. Welfare for non-citizens costs the city $2 million a year, and Africans just keep coming. Maine’s House voted earlier this month to let non-citizens get food stamps and other welfare.

Former Maine governor Paul LePage said in 2017 that asylum seekers were the state’s “biggest problem” because they strain resources and deal drugs. Lewiston, Maine, was flooded with African migrants in the early 2000s because of its generous welfare. The town voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump in 2016, and is worried it may have to take in Portland’s overflow.

For the liberals who write for the Times, it’s Americans who are the problem. Young Africans are the future and old white guys are the past. But any talk about “replacement” is a “racist conspiracy theory.”

LOL - Bigoted, racist, hateful, homophobe, nazi, fascist, xenophobe...those names are meaningless to me.

Maine's politics is shaped by the 70 percent of the population that lives in just two counties on the SE corner of the state, York and Cumberland.

These counties are populated by weak, white, woke progressives, many of them Massholes. The same people that attend churches that proudly fly Fagg Flags over the front doors.

Maine is already one of the highest taxed states in the country, and they will be happy to continue that downward spiral.

For the liberals who write for the Times, it’s Americans who are the problem. Young Africans are the future and old white guys are the past. But any talk about “replacement” is a “racist conspiracy theory".

And these same weak, woke, white progressives are so world weary and so poisoned with self doubt and self loathing that they will happily die off, leaving nothing behind of their history, accomplishments, heritage or culture.

A culture (that is to say, the culture of Western Enlightenment: individual rights, property rights, free market capitalism, charity, industry, thrift, scientific and industrial advancement) that has done more to lift more people out of poverty and misery than any other in the history of the world.

These people would be happy to see New England become New Angola, with all the filth and misery and death and stupidity and corruption that goes along with it, because they loathe their own selves so much, they have been poisoned so effectively, as to not be able to raise a finger in their own defense, which is to raise a finger in the defense of mankind.

Well, I for one, have not taken the poison.

I will rage against the dying of the light, even if I am the last man standing...perhaps it's too late...probably so, and I bear some of the blame for foolishly thinking that we could all "just get along" under a banner of liberty.

I have the right to self determination, to associate with whom I desire to associate with, to exclude whomever I wish, and to band together with fellow travelers who think similarly and for us to collectively determine who we want in our community.

There are also white citizens who don't co-exist well with other people different from themselves. Should we do something about them? Or just worry about people who actually commit real crimes?

Activist Bishop Escorts Migrants Across U.S. Border from Mexico

https://www.breitbart.com/faith/201...corts-migrants-across-u-s-border-from-mexico/

THOMAS D. WILLIAMS, PH.D.28 Jun 2019

The bishop of El Paso, Texas, personally escorted a group of seven Latin American migrants who had previously been denied asylum in the United States across the border into the U.S. on Thursday, reports say.

Bishop Mark Seitz accompanied a Cuban, a young man from El Salvador, and a family of five back across the bridge from Ciudad Juarez to the United States.

Seitz told the online Catholic site Crux that the 9-year-old daughter of the family took his hand as they crossed the bridge, where these individuals “who never should have been returned in the first place” were met by border officials.

Despite an exchange of “tense” words, the migrants were eventually all allowed entry back into the United States.

Before embarking on the walk across the bridge from Mexico, Bishop Seitz offered an impassioned denunciation of the U.S. government’s immigration policies.

“A government and society which view fleeing children and families as threats; a government which treats children in U.S. custody worse than animals; a government and society who turn their backs on pregnant mothers, babies and families and make them wait in Ciudad Juarez without a thought to the crushing consequences on this challenged city … This government and this society are not well,” Seitz told the crowd that had gathered.

“We suffer from a life-threatening case of hardening of the heart. In a day when we prefer to think that prejudice and intolerance are problems of the past, we have found a new acceptable group to treat as less than human, to look down upon and to fear. And should they speak another language or are brown or black, well, it is that much easier to stigmatize them,” he said.

Seitz said the policies reflected a “heart-sick government and society” in an apparent call for open borders to the United States.

“Would we rather they die on the banks of the Rio Grande than trouble us with their presence?” he asked.

“We Americans need our hearts checked. Our hearts have grown too cold and too hard and that bodes ill for the health of our nation,” he said.

On Wednesday, Bishop Seitz said he intended to make a public demonstration at the border to shine a light on the “devastating consequences of inhumane border policies.”

The Remain in Mexico program requires asylum seekers to wait in Mexico where “inhumane and unsafe conditions” often prevail, Crux noted.

Curiously, in his speech, Bishop Seitz did not comment on how to improve the inhumane conditions for migrants in Mexico but limited his remarks to criticizing the United States.

“Every day the U.S. is sending up to 300 asylum seekers to one of the most dangerous places in Mexico with nothing and no one to help them,” he said. “This deserves our attention and all our efforts to change this ill-thought policy.”

The United States currently takes in an average of a million legal immigrants every year, the largest number of migrants received into any nation in the world by almost two to one over the next largest. The number of immigrants currently living in the country is approaching 45 million, more than three times as many as there were in 1980.

Despite an exchange of “tense” words, the migrants were eventually all allowed entry back into the United States.

I am a US citizen. I wonder if an exchange of "tense words" would get me back in the country if I did not have every "i" dotted and "t" crossed at an airport.

A government and society which view fleeing children and families as threats; a government which treats children in U.S. custody worse than animals; a government and society who turn their backs on pregnant mothers, babies and families and make them wait in Ciudad Juarez without a thought to the crushing consequences on this challenged city

Why is that city facing "crushing consequences" padre, and why do you wish to bring those consequences here?

We suffer from a life-threatening case of hardening of the heart. In a day when we prefer to think that prejudice and intolerance are problems of the past, we have found a new acceptable group to treat as less than human, to look down upon and to fear. And should they speak another language or are brown or black, well, it is that much easier to stigmatize them,” he said.

How hard were the hearts of the church elders, padre, when they looked the other way and covered up, for decades, thousands of young boys being sodomized by fagggot priests? (On second thought, maybe it wasn't a hard heart that was the issue.)

Foul hypocrite...you have no moral right to lecture a single person nor judge a single person, especially those who are attempting to quell an invasion brought about in no small part by your own namesake agitators.

But you are right about one thing...a hardening of the heart is certainly going to be the only way to save ourselves, from among other things, your own weak, damnable "Christian" charity.

They have a right to be here, that doesn't mean we should add to our problems.

And we should be working to separate from people like that you.

Heil Honkler!

I had this horrible dream last night that our nation was reduced to civil war, beloved forum members. I thought I'd share this with you in case it comes true. As best I can recall, on one side of the battlefield stood an incredible rainbow force made up of African American college students, African American homosexuals, African American white women, African American Mexican Americans (typically called "Hispanics), African American Asian Americans, as well as the African American senior citizens, along with the African American disabled, the actual African American African Americans themselves, and all the Jews.

Turning to face troops who had assembled behind me, I was their commander for some reason, were only 756 sickly looking, pale-white men. Seems all the others were off very busy having to work. Anyway, one could see on their faces looks which alternated between being confused and angered. Trying to empower and envision them forward into battle, I cried out:

"Who are we! What is our culture!"

As no one would dare answer, I cried out again:

"WHO ARE WE! WHAT IS OUR CULTURE!"

No one dared say anything again until finally a little peep was barely audible coming from the back.

"Excuse me? What did you say again?" I inquired of a little man standing at the rear.

"Uh . . .," he said timidly, "We are evil racist white men?"

Before his notion could be refuted, all the other men shook their heads in agreement.

"Not just evil racist white men, but evil, racist, Christian white men!" cried another.

"Bad-assed, evil, racist, and Christian white men!" cried yet another.

"Long live bad-assed, evil, racist, and Christian white men!" they all cried in unison as we rode off to our doom.

"Long live bad-assed, evil, racist, and Christian white men!"
