+1 Pet Peeve of mine as well
It doesn't matter if its a Klan rally, a catholic bake sale, or a Ron Paul sign wave I throw up a little in my mouth when I see a child too young to fully comprehend let alone even be concerned with such matters out spewing whatever rhetoric their elders have instilled in them.
You are entitled to your opinion of course. In fact, I actually agree with it, however, as was stated above, this is a well produced video by a grassroots supporter. More importantly this kind of ad really does work. It doesn't work on many of us because we really don't tend to be highly emotional. We tend to be alot more logical and logic only works on independent thinkers.
Only a fraction of the population is comprised of critical thinkers. If more used logic in their thought process rather than emotion, there would be alot of fake psychics and scammers out of work. Just because more people use emotion isn't a bad thing, it's just different from how most of us here think. The largest problem is that as you pointed out, those who do understand how to use emotion to convey a message often use it to convey a horrific message. In this case the message is positive and all of it is true. Children really would be far better off with Ron Paul.
I like "Vote Ron Paul, for the children!!!!!" alot better than "give up all of your liberty for the children!!!!!". So, while the concept is undesirable to many of us, it is all-powerful to many more people. Do what works.
