These Ads Are Turning Heads-

+1 Pet Peeve of mine as well

It doesn't matter if its a Klan rally, a catholic bake sale, or a Ron Paul sign wave I throw up a little in my mouth when I see a child too young to fully comprehend let alone even be concerned with such matters out spewing whatever rhetoric their elders have instilled in them.

You are entitled to your opinion of course. In fact, I actually agree with it, however, as was stated above, this is a well produced video by a grassroots supporter. More importantly this kind of ad really does work. It doesn't work on many of us because we really don't tend to be highly emotional. We tend to be alot more logical and logic only works on independent thinkers.

Only a fraction of the population is comprised of critical thinkers. If more used logic in their thought process rather than emotion, there would be alot of fake psychics and scammers out of work. Just because more people use emotion isn't a bad thing, it's just different from how most of us here think. The largest problem is that as you pointed out, those who do understand how to use emotion to convey a message often use it to convey a horrific message. In this case the message is positive and all of it is true. Children really would be far better off with Ron Paul.

I like "Vote Ron Paul, for the children!!!!!" alot better than "give up all of your liberty for the children!!!!!". So, while the concept is undesirable to many of us, it is all-powerful to many more people. Do what works.

Tell me, what issues on the ads are too hard for kids to understand...?

You are really under-estimating kids, some really can understand things...Some are smarter than ADULTS...

Remember that i´m talking about these ads, when i´m asking my question...

If kids are incapable of understanding issues like this, it's because they have been sent to the wrong types of schools. Contrary to popular opinion, there are some kids who are extremely intelligent. I agree that most kids could not come up with a script quite as good as these, but they certainly can understand the issues when someone merely explains them. Geometry used to be taught in the eighth grade, but has since been pushed towards the ninth or even tenth grade. Are our children getting less intelligent? I highly doubt it. Our schools are getting worse; emphasizing the wrong material, not rewarding independence and intellectual thought until much later, turning schools from a place of learning into a veritable day-care center. It's disgusting. Had I been allowed to progress at my own pace, I may have had been able to start calculus or trig by the eighth grade. The books used for different grades are downright boring for their age (I was reading full-length Star Wars novels by the fifth grade), and then by the time some kids get into high school, they are unable to read at an appropriate level simply because they were not challenged enough. You get what you pay for.

Why aren't the views on these videos going through the roof?

Is the movement over ???

ads with child actors saying syrupy lines make me kind of ill. that being said, they are well produced and i am probably in the minority in not liking these kind of ads.

Where were these videos made? Asking b/c the blonde haired crew cut kid who defines patriot is a spitting image of my neighbor's son. I think the kids likes to act too.
