The Trump Campaign Is in Full Nuclear Meltdown Mode

The "votes-against" thing is important. Trump was, and still is, one of the most widely disliked nominees among voters of his own party in a long time. 40% may love him, but that other 60% is nowhere close. This is one of many reasons why he will lose in November.

But as for the "people are sick of politics as usual" BS... OK, great, so were Obama supporters in 2008 asking for "change." People point out Trump supporters' "anger and frustration" with the system as if it means anything and will have a positive outcome. They don't even know what they want or know how to explain what's wrong.....they're ....just....ANGRY!11 That's their whole argument. They are like my 2 year old who gets "angry and frustrated" when he has a load in his pants and needs a nap. Difference here is this isn't Daddy, it's the government and a guy who has entirely reversed multiple positions some multiple times, without explanation. If you think you can trust Trump with a blank check you are in for a surprise. Same kind of blind emotional support that George W Bush got after 9/11. People just upset and asking for a big response, no idea how or what, just something drastic. Bush got us Iraq. Wonder what Trump will get us.

I agree here with you. Obama pulled wool over their eyes. Trump is courting the same people, just of republican persuasion. Ofcourse a lot of the support is going to be one devoid of principles. That is just how elections go. For example I did not like Obama for what he stood not because he had zombie fans.

For the same reason I like Trump for what he stands. I am sure he has a lot of supporters that are carbon copy of obama supporters but from the right.

For the same reason I like Trump for what he stands.

On what day?

You say this one second but in another thread you admit he stands not on a platform, but on a teeter totter. You then say you hope he can learn what the hell's going on and make good deals without drifting too far from his position, whatever his position is.

I agree to an extent.

I think he has some core values that he will not budge on. Am I reading the man right? I hope I am. If I am not then it does not matter who wins.

You don't listen to his rallies so you wouldn't know. One thing that does not change is what he tells his supporters during those rallies. One day it will come out Trump flip flopped on this. And then he will go on stage and continue to rail against the thing he supposedly flipped on. I suspect he is fighting dirty.

There is also element on intellect there. People say he has "best words" but he actually very nuanced in a lot of things he says.

Like the issue with taxes and minimum wage. When I listen to his interviews I don't hear the flip flops. All I hear is that the man is willing to bargain to get what he wants and that is not necessarily lower taxes. That is the wall built and jobs back in America. Is that ultimately the best thing? I don't know, it all depends on how much he can negotiate to his side. Considering his record I have a lot of faith in that.

Also they don't like how he flips on abortion. And I am sitting there thinking the guy is listening to the people... And again not a position that he can't compromise on. And again who knows how much he will be able to negotiate to the end he likes.

I think smart intelligent people look past the BS you guys bring up. I think dumb people see in him an alpha male and they flock to him.

I think he has zombie fans who are biting a fishhook baited with hope and change. And it sounds awfully familiar to me.

You should go read my reply about the teeter toter comment.

so Paul Ryan would be better? a sure loser, and SCOTUS goes t the Socialists for 30 years

I don't really care about the R's winning.

But you think Trump would do better in a general election than Ryan? No way.

Historic controversial FOPC has also collected a record number of votes against him:

Here is the other half that you left off:

Why are you furthering this BS about Trump all over the forum, when you damn well know it is a lie? The judge is a La Raza judge, which means he has conflicting interests and should recuse himself from serving as the judge over the Trump University case.

re·cuse
riˈkyo͞oz/Submit
verbNORTH AMERICAN
challenge (a judge, prosecutor, or juror) as unqualified to perform legal duties because of a possible conflict of interest or lack of impartiality.
"a motion to recuse the prosecutor"
(of a judge) excuse oneself from a case because of a possible conflict of interest or lack of impartiality.

The Judge previously worked as an attorney for La Raza (a terrible org, yes), but do you know who else did? Kimberly Guilfoyle (a trump supporter)!!!

http://www.redstate.com/leon_h_wolf/2016/06/07/fox-news-contributor-trump-backer-kim-guilfoyle-also-member-la-raza/

Of course, here's the thing: the group to which Guilfoyle (and Curiel) belong is NOT the radical left-wing group National Council of La Raza. They are totally different things. However, Trump and all his brain dead minions have been loudly proclaiming that they are.

The few Trumpkins who have two brain cells to rub together have claimed that even though they are not the same thing, they are basically the same thing because the Curiel/Guilfoyle organization has a link to La Raza on their website. Therefore, the "reasoning" goes, Curiel (and, I guess, Kim Guilfoyle!) are both obviously Mexican supremacists who obviously can't give Trump a fair hearing.

Next.

I am a bit skeptical that there is any meltdown.

HISTORY! Trump Shatters Republican Primary Vote Record by 1.4 Million Votes
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/06/trump-trumps-wins-historic-race-record-fashion/

Of course we could go back to pretending he has hit some ceiling and that he can't win on the first ballot if he can't break 1600 delegates.

BREAKING: Trump Breaks Massive Ronald Reagan Record… Sends Establishment Into Panic Mode
http://conservativetribune.com/trump-breaks-reagan-record/

That's not as meaningful as you're making it out to be.

The only reason for the high vote count is that this year's Republican primaries continued to be a contest much longer into the season. Trump also shattered the record for number of votes cast against him, and he broke that record a month ago and has by now eclipsed it much more decisively than the one for the number of votes cast for him. Going by percentage of primary votes, Trump is actually one of the least popular candidates to end up with the nomination (assuming he does).
