The SUPER POSITIVE thing about the recount is...

If they do find that the original results were wrong...

Then would it not make sense to hand count the rest of the entire election?

I think so...

I honestly think that we have a very good shot at getting 3rd place... Huckabee had very little campaign time there and low support...

I read several articles that said in the ballots there were handcounted (around 50%) we had around 15%-16% and the ones that were counted by computer (50%) we were around 5-7%... I think that we should def beat out Guliani (which would hopefully make him drop out since he is out of cash and we prob beat Huckabee too...

I think Romney had the biggest discrepency in handcounted voted to computer votes though... I think it was around 31% on computer votes and around 20% on handcounted or something like that...

He should go to jail for sure...

With Guiliani out and Romney totally discredited... we could have a very good shot at taking the rest of the elections...

Noone in their right mind wants a candidate who thinks we should be in Iraq for the next 100 years (McCain)

and people are fed up with "Pimpin' my religion" Huckabee... the entire U.S. are not evangelical and even the ones who are are starting to wake up to his non-conservativeness....

With the chain of custody lost for so long - I won't be surprised if we lose votes in the recount. There's just no accountability.

i dont think they will alter the ballots.
thats way too much of a risk.
these people will go to extremes but i dont think they could risk another federal crime. im sure they want to just slip under the radar here, not risk exposing themselves more.

ballot voting with a paper trail needs to be done in all states.
im glad my state (colorado) banned electronic voting machines :)

don't forget it sends a message to future states that we will not tolerate election fraud and we will investigate/recount.

If there is no fraud, it may also "validate" the use of diebold machines.

I'm sure they will count all of the ballots, but the question is, WHAT ballots will they count? Who's to say they don't shred the original ballots and replace them with fakes??? It's great that they got the re-count, but I doubt it will change anything...

ummm.... actually if there was fraud going on, they woud want to try to "slip under the radar" by making the votes match.

if the votes dont match they are pretty much exposed. there will be an investigation and people will go to jail. if there IS fraud going on then their only chance at not exposing themselves is to make the ballot count match the electronic count.

If we had done nothing it would be very easy to fix all the rest of the states. Now they will have a much harder time convincing all the little people to go along with this crime.

The little people don't want to get in trouble. Without the recount the little people would be easily assured nothing is risked. Now the little people will be afraid of getting caught. They should be afraid. Without a conscience the only way a person acts according to the law is due to fear of consequences.

It's about time the people who do have a self-governing conscience enforce the law. Remember those who cheated for Mitt in the Florida straw poll. They had no conscience and little shame. In broad daylight they did the despicable. Why? Because they had no fear.

We must make them fear the enforcement of our nation's laws. This is our duty.

My point is that if the votes comes out the same - they will say that the voting machines are safe and accurate. So it gives them ammunition to use them everywhere and without questions.

One problem is that there is nothing to recount on purely electronic machines.

I've heard that the machines in New Hampshire take paper ballots.

One problem with the recount is that if they are going to fix the vote, they certainly have a plan for fixing the recount as well. Obviously, they knew it is very likely recounts will be requested when fraud is involved.

How are they going to "fix" 0 vote towns like Sutton and Greenville? Add in dead people to other towns to match the percentages? Like... 9.11% for Giuliani in three towns?
