The Sheriffs are changing their story and covering up the truth Allen Kephart:mad:

A man died Tuesday after sheriff's deputies fired a taser at him following a short pursuit and struggle in Twin Peaks.

About 3:15 p.m., San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies saw a vehicle run a stop sign in the area of Highway 18 and Daley Canyon.

The deputy attempted a traffic stop, but the driver of the vehicle continued another quarter mile and pulled into a gas station, said sheriff's spokeswoman Jodi Miller.

"The subject exited the vehicle but was extremely uncooperative with deputies," Miller said.

Sheriff's deputies used a taser on the man while trying to take him into custody.

The Sheriffs are changing their story and covering up the truth about Allen Kephart!

Everybody needs to know this!

The cops justification for this incident hinges on the assertion that Mr. Kephart was fleeing the officer and was therefor subject to a "high risk" stop. The cops assertion is a crock of BS.

This video shows the drive in question.

Mountain new 5/19/11: "Confusion about where the reported stop-sign violation occurred may have contributed to the controversy swirling around the incident. Some Internet postings say it took place at Daley Canyon Road and Highway 18, and their authors contend the Valero station was an appropriate place for Kephart to stop....But because authorities say the violation occurred at Daley Canyon and 189, Kephart would have had to drive approximately a half-mile up Daley Canyon to reach Highway 18, thus passing at least one turnout, as well as another on Highway 18 before reaching the Valero station." http://www.mountain-news.com/news/ar...html?success=1

Fight injustice.

no cams in the police SUVs... there is rumored to be a cell phone video of the tasering and arrest but it has not surfaced. Yet.

no police cam? He might as well of pulled out a grenade launcher and fired it at the cop then

Well, if the video were better (looks like a monsoon) we could be more sure. But that shoulder-less road, with its blind curves, looks like a good way to get someone killed who is silly enough to stop on it. Whether he has disco lights on the roof of his vehicle or not.

Guess we shouldn't worry about the safety of the cops. They sure don't seem to worry about ours much any more.

And I just don't know what it will take to convince people that there's nothing 'non-lethal' about a defribulator.

I have never met an honest cop. They will lie, defraud and kill to cover each others asses.

So they killed him because he didn't stop immediately. Funny, since we're also always told that we can wait and drive slowly and stop for police in a lit public area instead, in case it's not a real cop! Which is it?

It is both and neither... It depends. Just take it bitch.

You take the day's date, multiply by the inverse square of the cube root of Pi, and divide the result by the number of people of the car. If the result smaller than the prime number closest to you age, you may survive the encounter, or maybe not.

COPS NAMES: Deputy Ismael Diaz initiated the pursuit, Sergeant Brian Lane and Deputy Michael Gardea followed.

Goldstein said three to five officers may have Tased Allen at the same time and he was Tased on his neck and face, and five to six Taser cartridges had been booked into evidence.

The family requested a representative be present at the autopsy conducted by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, but were denied over objections by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The Deputies are still on patrol.

Reason TV has released a documentary about the killing of Allen Kephart.

and this...

Our conversation with our young kids about law enforcement has changed significantly over the past few months, and it's become impossible to tell them that police officers are good and are there to help them. Now it's complicated and filled with "some of the time" and "you just don't know." I just told my daughter (who's not yet driving yet, thankfully) the other day to ALWAYS proceed slowly to a well lit area if she would ever get pulled over. It apparently really is a crap shoot.

Yes, a well lit area. They'll have an easier time killing you if they can see you better.

Such a shame too. They could be a valued part of the community, and instead, they're more like an occupying force.
