The Ron Paul 2012 Website isn't good

its early! Give it some time guys, most people dont even know were starting the GOP primaries yet

The website should be an easy fix though, given that the campaign has the money to hire someone to update it. There's no need to wait.

Debbie Hopper, the assistant campaign manager I talked to about Presidency 5, said not to expect to see website changes for a couple weeks, because most of the staff only started work two days ago (including her I think).

T-Paw's Terra Eclipse designed site has a cool points/badge system.

Thanks for posting this, looking forward to the changes. It does seem like the campaign has been gearing towards really amping up in mid June

Ok I am just going to come out and say it, the official Ron Paul 2012 website sucks. Lets say I am an undecided voter and want to find out where Ron Stands on the issues.I will go to his website and find basically NO policy positions. This is a huge problem. I visit other candidates websites and they are much better. Heck Even Herman Cain has pics of his supporters. The website needs some serious upgrads now!

What kills me is that they probably paid someone 2 grand to make the site, and it's made FROM A $39 WORDPRESS TEMPLATE! Someone linked to it here before. This is no joke. All these guys had to do was make a few images, and copy and paste some words.

Why not get a site by the guys who put together b.j. lawson's and mike lee's? Those sites are both MUCH better constructed than this cheapo template, and it takes a day or two to get it up and running.

No Mention of the Money Bomb on the website.....

It definitely is mentioning the Money Bomb now

I do agree that there should be an issues page though. It seems like a pretty simple task to do.

Include the Issues

I agree that the website needs a tab to include, if not highlight, the differences of the candidates on the big issues. Highlight items like ending the wars, ending military occupation in 130 countries and use that savings to rebuild America. Although most of us are in the know, but we need to design it to the common undecided voter who is looking for the real change this country needs.

That being said, I still give a lot of credit to the site's creator; it is a huge time and resource contender building a website.

I have to assume they are going to put an issues tab in, but are working on it. They also are putting in a big operation in Iowa, and probably are staffed at the minimum for a real national campaign at this point -- remember a bunch of candidates aren't even in it yet. I remember before his site went up everyone was arguing about what should be in it and someone said 'nothing is going to satisfy all the perfectionists here', but I figure, hey, it was probably free, people can put together a better one if they want to.

No! You need to make the website a priority. Call them up and tell them how its going to be...

Not to be rude, but you really need to check your superiority complex. The last time we tried to do something better than the campaign, it didn't turn out good.

The 2008 website was awesome.. Had all his positions on virtually every issue.

I agree with the OP.. I specifically don't like the picture of Ron at the top center... There are plenty of nicer looking ones that would present him in a much better way. Because of this, and the lack of an issues section, I have not given out the link to anyone I know.

What could be constructive criticism is often destroyed with rude crassness coming off as arrogance. Diplomacy and discretion are far better tools for implementing improvements among friends and allies...

I have a MUCH different perspective going into this cycle as I did '08 and soundbites regarding this issue include "A HiveMind will ALWAYS work faster than an organization, but not necessarily smarter" and "Individuals are ALWAYS more nimble than groups, they can move faster, but are never as far reaching"

The reasons I am repeating these addresses this OP

1 - As mentioned, much of the national campaign staff were officially been "hired" two days ago. So, who exactly was supposed to be in charge of that? And is it possible that the skeleton crew have other priorities that people are unaware of? (such as organizing teams to work on things like issues statements...) While it is easy for individuals to see a nit to pick at, (and yes, nits are a PITA that are best disposed of asap, but obsessing over them is never good) and pronounce that, "it is just a copy/paste job", I think we all know that it is more complicated than that (and if they did just rehash the msg frames from 08, there would be a different chorus of of complaints over that)

While I think everyone is in agreement that the sooner the issues page is up, the better, I think most would agree that telling people they suck/etc is not the best way to highlight that concern...

.... I expect we will see some good improvements coming real soon

Why isn't their an issues page yet?

-If issues won races, there would be libertarians in every office.
-Likability wins races. The site is designed to get strangers to like him, not to get supporters to revere him more.
-It's too early- they haven't had time to come up with a high quality and unique issues page. Also, the race is not all that interesting (to voters) right now.
-He's got a book!
-Everyone knows Ron Paul is a libertarian. An issues page right now would attract people who want to disagree with libertarians on something so they can shout brainless negativity to anyone who will believe it.

I bet the issues page will go up late July. This is good timing for all the interest that will come with the Ames Straw Poll. And I bet it will be amazing and unique, because they will have had the TIME to make it great.

Patience- Ron Paul has it. Do you?

Im a webmaster/marketer who do I contact at the campaign to offer my services?
