"The Religious Right is AWOL From the Real War" by Dr. Chuck Baldwin

I am so glad to have been introduced to his writings last year!

What blows me away about the NAU is the people who "poo poo" the idea and say "you're crazy" ... How can they say that when Vicente Fox has admitted it on national TV? How can they say that when there's the African Union and the new Mediterreanen (sp) Union (just announced this past month)?

yeah  :( ,
I am sending Mr. Baldwin's article out to everyone I can. Those that choose to stick their head in the sand can never say they weren't warned beforehand.

Yes I was very disappointed to see that Dobson has caved into Mccain and the neo cons. Remember last year when he met with the chair of the Constitution Party about supporting an alternate candidate? I was thrilled about that...now..it seems Dobson is nothing but a zionist neo con. I was hoping he'd pull behind Baldwin...so the CP could get the religious right out of the clutches of the neoconservtives. Dobson has no respect from me now. TONES

lol @ the christian right. I feel sorry for good guys like Baldwin who still have faith these people are capable of anything substantial. Their entire existence is predicated on following orders, typically from the loudest, dumbest, angriest people they can find.

Maybe you and he don't recall the primaries, but they quelled their apathy just long enough to saunter out of McDonald's, Walmart, and their trailers and pull the lever for Hyuckhyuckabee. Maybe if the cheeto residue on their fingers could short out the diebold machines, we'd have had a chance.

LOL @ those who are so insecure in their own beliefs, they feel the need to poke at the beliefs of others. Actually, I feel sorry for them.

As a christian, I just don't get why EVERYTHING this guy says has to come out through his Jesus filter! It is embarassing. Even when I agree with his whole statement, Ijust want him to shut up and go away.

Please put a name on 'this guy'. Your post seems rather ambiguous.

A born again Christian who is following Jesus, (not the doctrines of Martin Luther or any other religious leader) writes to the right wing, moral majority and the Constitution Party:

The church is full of divorce, fornication, lies, cheating, pornography, unforgiveness, offense, fear, unbelief, etc…, and according to Revelations 21 none who do these things shall enter the Kingdom of God. Why? Because these things are sins. Jesus told us to get the beam out of our own eyes, before we try to take the speck out of our brothers’, yet we totally ignore these words as we point fingers at the gay community and the muslims. We wage war with our so called enemies, as we totally ignore Jesus’ message to turn the other cheek. We seek to enslave the gay community by laws for their sin of homosexuality, while we continue without question in our own sins. We would revolt in a moment if the government passed laws to regulate unforgiveness or lies.

Yet the message of Jesus was clear, all sin is sin and all sin was forgiven by his shed blood. Why then do we not follow the leading of our savior, who forgave the harlot, brought to him, by the religious leaders? His reply was “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more”. He would have most assuredly completed this act, 7 times 70 (or more), if necessary. Yet when the harlots (gays) are brought to us, we want to throw the book at them. For we do not have the Lord’s forgiveness! How then can we expect the Lord to forgive us our trespasses, of which we have many?

It is better for us to clean up our own house, then to go try to clean up another’s house. If we do not then we are no better than the religious leaders of the day, who Jesus rebuked by saying “Ye hypocrites you clean up the outside of the cup, but the inside of your cup is still dirty!” We should be teaching people the principles of love and forgiveness, and to rely on a power greater than ourselves to redeem us (which was the message of Christ), instead of morally trying to legislator other peoples' behavior. This is not the way of Christ or his disciples. We were told to draw people to the cross of redemption, not beat them over the head with it.

I say to my Christian brothers and sisters, we have much to do to clean up the inside of our cups. Let us forget the laws of morality and begin to follow the commandments of Jesus’: Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love you neighbor as yourself”, or as he said “Why do you say you are my disciples, when you don’t do as I command?”

Let us get out of politics and trying to force our moral monarchy and return to the God and Jesus Christ who he sent and practice the love that suffers long, that turns the other cheek, the doesn’t seek its’ own way, that does not fail, that gives up its’ cloak when it is sued in court for its’ coat. Let us get these beams out of our eyes! Let he who is without sin cast the first stone! Let us stand up for freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, which God gave us all, when he created us with freewill. God has never forced you into a relationship with him, while then should we force others?

Let us repent, turn from our wicked ways and seek God’s face for the healing of our land. Is there any righteous in America? Are there 25? Are there 15? Are there 10? Are there 5? If we don’t do this, it will be better for Sodom and Gomorrah, then it will be for us.

There is no biblical or constitutional foundation for taking away the freewill of any person. We must as Christians be against all sin, so let’s look for that sin and eradicate it from our churches and its people, so that God’s favor will once again shine on us all. Judgment always starts in God’s house first, so let it begin with us. Or, let us be condemned by the very words of Jesus' who told us we are only his disciples when we are perfected in love and since Jesus is the head of the church, there is no greater authority by which I write this letter.

I enjoy your posts. Uh, question though. Let's say you get things in order and so do the others in church. What then do you plan to do with the non-believers?

There is no innocence, only degrees of guilt.

I'm giving her/him(sounds like a her at least in my head when I read his/her posts) the benefit of the doubt from their response.

Theocrat I would love to hear your response too.

IRO-bot,

It's so simple Jesus said a fool need not err: he said if we lift him up in our own life's (be the loving examples we should be), he will draw people to himself through us. We are supposed to be the light in the darkness of men's lives. That only happens when we react to others, the way we would want them to react to us. It's not by force that people will be drawn to Christ. We must realize we are not responsible for the sins of our brothers and sisters, Christ already has that area covered. We only need to fulfill the two commandments (Christ gave us): 1.) love God will all our heart, mind, soul and strength 2.) love our neighbors as ourselves.
If we do that, Christ in us, will do the work to draw people. And if he doesn't, then beating them over the head surely isn't going to do it. Our work is to love one another, Christ's work is to draw them to us, so we can share the gossip. It's that simple!

Christ said he stands at the door and knocks and if anyone will open the door, he will come in and eat with them (teach them). He never said he was going to break the door down and neither should we. If someone wants to know, then by all means share with them the good news of Jesus Christ. Other than that we must leave them to their freewill to seek God or not.

God never forces any of us. So again, let us get our own lives right and then go OFFER the truth of what we have found to others. If they don't want the truth, we must quietly leave them in the hands of God. Their souls belong to him, not us. Let us just trust God and continue with our two commandments. My point in all my writings is the church has been too concerned with the lives of other people, yet they do not to rid they own lives of their own sin. Let us stop this and get real. Let's clean up our own acts, before we try to clean up others (and believe me, most of us christians have enough work in that area to keep us busy for years).

Thanks for asking and giving me an opportunity to answer.

Cool. From what I can gleam you will leave the non-believers alone, merely be "moral and good" examples so they will be swayed to your side? Kind of like a "Non-intervention" foriegn policy? :D

Another question. Do you feel you need to go to church to be a good Christian? Or that church is even necessary?

To the church thing: absolutely not! If you feel drawn to church, then go, is what I tell everyone. But, you won't find the truth of christianity anywhere outside your own heart. Christianity is truly an issue of the heart. Again, I must come back to those two commandments and Jesus said everything is fulfilled in those two commandments. No one is going to understand that from church, they are going to understand that only through the words of Christ and the Disciples and when they really take them as the truth and begin to live by them.

Listen, Jesus was chastised by the religious leaders of his day, because he hung out in with the common ordinary people and people doing all kinds of sinful things. He didn't hang out in the churches. He went to the people who needed his love and forgiveness. I have found it is easier to talk to nonbelievers about God and Christ, then it is to talk to indoctrinated church goers, who never pick up the bible and try to understand the true message of Christ. I'm sure the church world would believe if Christ was to appear, he would walk right into the church. I believe they are wrong. I think he would walk right into the first bar and compassionately help someone there, find peace and comfort.

His message was always love and forgiveness, for every one he met and the religious leadership hated him, because the people loved him in return. The work of Christ in each of us is to bring us to the knowledge of the truth, our work is to simply be the love that he was in the world. That's it! It's truly that simple!

Christ would say, let the Samaritans be, let the muslims be, let the jews be, let the christians be, let the buddhists be, lie the hindus be. God will judge us by our love for one another. Love will save us and our hatred will condemn us. I hate to say it, none of the religions have this message right, even though all the true leaders of each of these religions came ministering the message of love and forgiveness.

If you feel the need to attend a religious organization then go in peace and be happy. But, if you will find the Kingdom of God within your own soul, you will have peace and happiness eternally.

Lastly, here's a scripture for you: Jesus asked how can any man say he loves God, who he has not seen, when he doesn't love his brother who he has seen? And all are brothers!

Want to see a true christian? RON PAUL. He's a shining example. He's definitely walking, where I'm talking about. Guess what? All kinds of people are drawn to him. He's non threatening! He will reason with you. He speaks the truth in kindness and compassion. He doesn't beat people over the head with his ideas and viewpoints. He is one that most people admire, trust and respect. It testifies that he has a powerful faith and belief in a source bigger than himself. This is what drew me to him and draws others.

I have Theocrat's response in my inbox:

You've read works by Gary North and R.J. Rushdoony? That's surprising, yet refreshing. At least you understand where I'm coming from. Christian theocracy is bigger than just one nation; it seeks to take dominion over the whole world! It will, too, someday, though not in my lifetime. That's why we Christians are having so many kids compared to the liberals, humanists, agnostics, etc. because our posterity will carry Christian theocracy on to infinity. There's nothing that can be done to stop it, either, my friend. It came to fruition when the Puritans first arrived here in the 1600s, and it will continue to mature until all things are under Christ's feet. The end of tyranny from relativistic, secular "atheism" will come to pass. I will fight diligently to see "atheism" bleed to death, choking in its own blood, and I will stomp it right in its head until its blood is splattered all over my "garments". That's the war against terror that I fight in. So, just know that the next time you see one of my posts that my fight is against every thought and philosophy which is against those ends, but not the people who espouse those thoughts and philosophies. I'd just thought you should know.
