"The Religious Right is AWOL From the Real War" by Dr. Chuck Baldwin

thehittgirl,

Isn't God awesome? My sister and I were talking today about where the church world has been and where it is going, and it comes down to this:

We are to preach of the Kingdom of God and invite all to come and partake of the waters of life. Satan has run rough shod over God's people and that day is coming to an end. The true church, born of the spirit and the word are rising up and saying "No More".

For too long in the church, hell, fire and brimestone have been preached, totally ignore the GOOD NEWS of the gospel:
redemption
restoration
mercy/grace
the Kingdom of God within
the Christ within

We have been so consumed with trying to save people from hell, that we have totally missed the good news. It's time to preach the Kingdom of God is with men. It's time to restore all men to the love of Christ and his compassionate forgiveness.

We must begin to tell the world, Christ Is and that there is hope in the darkness, safety in the storms, peace in the chaos, love in the face of angry, mercy where none is due.

It's time to tell people, God so loved us all that he gave his own son, so we could have full access to the Kingdom of God within.

God so loved us! Christ so loved us, that he paid for our sin with his own life! Man, what a powerful message. That we can now come freely to the waters of life, that life more abundant.

The sons of God are starving to death for someone to bring them the word of God from heaven. They want to hear the sweet sound of their savior's voice telling them how much he loved and loves them. They want the comfort, that only his presence can bring.

And no one is telling them. Oh, that I might be that one who would bring them the food that they are so hungry to hear.

The world is hurting, it is suffering, it is crying for deliverance from the sorrows we currently face, yet no one is telling people, there is hope, there is deliverance, there is love and compassion.

My prayer is that we may stop destroying each other and begin to accept each other and put down our swords and turn them into plow shares. It is time! It is time to reconcile and heal and restore.

Let us touch the hearts and minds of all mankind, with grace and goodness and mercy. May we be the light that shines in the darkness.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I hope that your spirit is now lifted by the Christ in you, the hope of glory. Oh that I might be a warrior for peace in a troubled world.

What really needs to be realized here is that religion was originally created to explain things early humans had no knowledge about, like how the universe was created for example. Christianity is just a spin on that. God is an opinion an that is that. If The christians god was real, why wouldn't everybody just follow christianity? Or the same with every other religion. We don't know how the universe was created. So god must have done it, right? Wrong. I just proved my earlier point. We don't know how it happened, so some greater power created it. It's the easy way out. The best way to say it i that we don't know how the universe was created and we never will know. There is NO PROOF of a god, a heaven, or also, Jesus. So if you think you can find out how the universe was created by playing 20 questions with God in heaven , it's not gonna happen. And people can have their opinion, i don't mind, it's called the first amendment here in America. But it still goes on to prove my first point. Scientists don't have to explain things to prove that it wasn't "God".

Joseph, thanks for your post. Hey, I'll take you challenge.

Here's the question: Would you like to prove, once and for all, for yourself whether God is real or not?

Because if he is and you would REALLY like to know this answer, it's very simple!

Or simply keep assuming the answer.

But, here's another question: what if your answer is wrong?

Good questions. Probably why I consider myself Agnostic. I believe in God, I mean, where did the universe come from? How did life(single celled organisms get started). I feel there has to be a God to start those things. I guess I just don't subscribe to a particular relgion. I just believe in love, goodness, honesty, and forgiveness.

That and I have seen Evil up close and personal.

IRO-bot,

Here's the thing, I am no longer wondering if there is a God. I KNOW!

But, no man or scientist will ever be able to prove or disprove this, but the Son of God is the only one who can reveal the Father and the Father is the only one who can reveal the son. And they will reveal each other, if any man truly wants to know.

It is a very simple process, to really know for sure.

From my observation, much of the church does not preach anything at all about hell or repentance, because that isn't political (for example: 2 Timothy 4:3).

In a different post, you referred to Revelation 21 in part, but the full quote says?!!: Rev 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.". That definitely includes "fire and brimstone".

And furthermore the gospel starts out:
Luke 3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

hope7134: We are supposed to be the light in the darkness of men's lives.

Jesus Christ is the light. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

hope7134: Christ said he stands at the door and knocks and if anyone will open the door, he will come in and eat with them (teach them)

That means a lot more than teach. Revelation 3:19 "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. "

hope7134: But, you won't find the truth of christianity anywhere outside your own heart. Christianity is truly an issue of the heart.

The bible actual says: Genesis 6:5: " 5And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Jeremiah 17:9: " 9The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

hope7134: Christ would say, let the Samaritans be, let the muslims be, let the jews be, let the christians be, let the buddhists be, lie the hindus be. God will judge us by our love for one another. Love will save us and our hatred will condemn us.

Jesus Christ actually says:
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
The description you give is the most broad gate imaginable. The bible also says: Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. and John 10:9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.

hope7134: The word of God is like a loaded gun. That gun in the hands of a child can be very dangerous, even deadly. Wisdom would be that you never give a child a loaded gun. Wait till they grow up and them give them instructions on how to use the gun.

This is the exact reasoning of the Roman Catholic church when they banned translations of the bible in the middle ages, and burnt people at the stake for it.

This really reminds me of what a character in Pilgrim's Progress says.

But.. Flee from the wraith to come!

Genesis 6:5: "The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

Jeremiah 17:9: " The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

Actually, Jesus says:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You are only going to live a short while. "Accessing your within" isn't going to be worth anything at all when you are dead. Do you know you are going to an actual heaven? How? According to your other messages, you believe that its all about the "love" you show as a muslim, christian, jew, etc. The bible says no man can be saved by that.

I am wondering how people that say they are Christians can support wars and the US military, calling it "our" military in prayers in church, as if God has a physical earthly military. And it really bothers me when people pray for the troops overseas by saying that they are "fighting for freedom." I really have to wonder if these people are true Christians.

Sorry for the rant, I just wanted to say that and bump your good post at the same time. :D

Ricky:
For one thing, Christianity has probably had a positive effect on wars, with the idea of the "Just War" doctrine. You have war to defend yourself; and you don't have "premptive" war. That is a newish idea in history. That is what Ron Paul talks about.
Google search on Just War, Ron Paul, and Christian:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&..."just+war"++"ron+paul"++Christian&btnG=Search

Also, the old testament has quite a number of examples of God helping his people in battle.

Lastly, God has a physical presence. And Jesus Christ physically (bodily) rose into heaven, and rules from his Father's throne right now. That is why your prayers are answered when you pray. In Jesus Christ name, Amen.

Ben,

Remember the word of God is a seed. One worker will sow the seed, another will tend it and another will reap the harvest. But, the field is the Lord's, the seed is the Lord's, the workers are the Lord's, the rain and sunshine are the Lord's, the Harvest is the Lord's.

Do not be quick to go into a field that has been sown and remove the seed. The wise worker of the Lord, who believes weeds have been sown in the field, would go ask the Lord of the field what he should do!The seed that is sown and the worker that has sown it, is the Lord's. This is not my field, this is not my seed, I am not my own, all belong to the Lord.

Remember tares and wheat grow up together, the Lord says not to go and take up any seed. If the seeds that are planted are weeds, and are not of God, they will be ripped up and thrown into the fire.

Peace be with you. I have no quarrel with you. Let YOUR light so shine before men, that they will see your good works and glorify your father, which is in heaven. I will not defend myself, because I have one greater than me to defend me. If he will not, then what hope of a defense could I make. I am eternally dependent on his mercy and grace. He knows by what authority, I write such things. But so that you might know, Christ has not sent me into the world to condemn it, but that I would minister God's grace.
Acts 20:24
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

1 John 3:18Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

2 Timothy 2:22 Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,

Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.

James 4: 11Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. 12There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

Hope7134, one problem I believe you have is that instead of talking like a real Christian, you're talking like a 16th century version of the bible (or at least grammar wise), and using passages from Jesus Christ (unattributed and unquoted) for yourself. I actually have no problem with old versions of the bible, I prefer the KJB myself. I have no problem following Jesus Christ, in which case we will sound like Him. However, if we are actually doers of the word, and not hearers only, we will sound like him in modern fact.

I'm glad you have "no quarrel" with me, because what you sowed isn't the word of God, and most of the passages you could have quoted you instead attributed them to yourself! Woe to someone in their vanity that steals glory from the Lord Almighty.

The things I said in the above messages are serious problems in things you've been claiming are from the gospel. And they weren't the only ones either, but they are a start. Furthermore, far from being a peacemaker, you've been rather quick to condemn all churches etc in your messages, but the bible says: Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: ... 6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Again, this strikes me as vain, but that is for you to judge yourself.

As far as defending goes, the word of God already condemns what you have said. You've despised preaching fire and brimestone among other things (but its the context of all the messages that compels me to write you), and yet Rev 21:8, 19:20 says exactly that about fire and brimestone, so you've despised God what God says.
Rev 22: 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

And here is where your vanity is taking you out of the book of life. We will not be judged by our love or hate - muslims, jews, hindu and christian, we will be judged by whether Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Right now I have absolutely no reason to believe you are a Christian, "Not everyone that says Lord Lord" is a Christian, Matthew 7:21. And Galatians 1:9 "As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!" So you can say "peace peace" all you want, but "Ezekiel 13:9-10 says 9 And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD. Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and to people who are hearing that: Isaiah 48:22 There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.

Now, it is true I am not so vaulted that I believe I am preaching to many people. I'm only speaking to you Hope. You should listen and come back to the actual gospel.

Hope,

FYI: This one actually bothers me the most, but mostly for you not anyone else. Can you actually believe this means more than teach??

hope7134: Christ said he stands at the door and knocks and if anyone will open the door, he will come in and eat with them (teach them)

hope7134: The sons of God are starving to death for someone to bring them the word of God from heaven.

This is wrong in several ways. The actual sons of God already have the Word of God.

And more importantly, Only Jesus Christ has ascended from heaven and given us the Word of God.
That word is (hopefully) in your hand right now, which is The Holy Bible. If you are starving, why don't
you open it up and give it a pray? :)

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Ben, I don't judge you and have not judged anyone on this forum. I don't walk in anger, nor in self defense. God knows me and he knows the words I speak and I do not have to prove myself to another, as he is my only judge and jury. I will be condemned or set free by him. I could go back and validate everything I said, so that you would clearly see. But, to what avail, to satisfy someone who will not ask God, before he judges what he doesn't know or doesn't understand. I have not asked you or anyone to believe me, I have said very clearly several times, I want everyone to seek Christ. I want everyone to ask God, seek God, follow God. I am not and will not seek a following, nor have I tried to tell anyone what they should or should not do.

The truth is I understand you perfectly, I know from where you speak. I can only tell you, you do not know what you think you know. So I will continue on in my love for all those who would come to God's grace, I will not judge them or condemn them. As I said before, the Lord did not send me to condemn anyone, I am only to tell them of his grace. I have not slandered anyone or spoken evil of anyone, but have written only in generalities. For it is not my right to judge anyone or condemn anyone. It is my prayer that all would come to know Christ and become free from judgement and condemnation.

So, when the Lord provides the opportunity, I will do as I have always done, I will tell them of the loving Christ who paid for their salvation with every precious drop of his life and I will bid them to come to him. And to those who would condemn me or will not hear me, I will leave them to God. If my Lord and savior Christ Jesus, will allow me, I will give my life to reveal to people his profound love, mercy and grace and pray that these people will see something different, then the condemnation they have experienced in the churches, temples, mosques and synagogs.

Now, as I have asked you to do before, go seek God! He will testify of me, for I am his.

James 4: 11Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. Ben, Let me share a little infromation with you. You don't feed steak to infants, because it chokes them. Infants are those that are unlearned. When Jesus ministered to the regular everyday people, who followed after him, he never rebuked them or chastised them, he simply loved them. He didn't give them meat to eat, he gave them the milk, because he was wise enough to know the difference. He spoke to them in stories and parables, because the stories and parables were easier to digest, understand and accept. He did not give them everything he had in his arsenal, because it would have been overwhelming and would have repelled them. He didn't want to repel them, he wanted to draw them, so they would ask him questions, so he could teach them.

However, when Christ spoke to his disciples or the religious leaders, he would speak to them more firmly, sometimes down right harshly, because he expected them to understand truth and that they should know better. He spoke to them plainly about the Kingdom of God and he expected more out of them, because their knew more and more was required of them. How many times did he rebuke Peter, when Peter was foolish. He feed them on the meat of the gossip. He had the wisdom to understand his audience, as did Paul, when Paul said when you are in Rome speak like the Romans do.

Now when I am in a crowd, like I am on this forum, I am not going to speak (write) like I would, if I was in a crowd of true believers. I know my audience and I am extremely careful, to remember that. It is not wise to spew out scriptures, that will not be easily understood and would cause confusion and turmoil. God requires us to walk uprightly and not cause our brothers to stumble.

So I hope this helps you to understand, why I say things the way I do. If you and I had the ability to talk face to face, you would see a much broader side of my spiritual life, then is able to be broadcast here. Because you are a believer, we would be able to talk more about the meat or the gossip, than an open forum like this allows. I hope you have enjoyed this post, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. God bless and keep you, I hope that the Lord will use this to open your eyes to the call he has placed on my life and he will give you peace.

He will testify of me, for I am his. (he already has)

We obviously do not have the same God. First, you've taken a quote from Jesus Christ and made out that its just your own (last line) (or any of the other times you have done it). Now I love to quote God's words, and let people know the verse numbers they came from so they can worship God not me. So this immediately turns me or any other God-fearing Christian away from you.

I'm really curious about your religious affiliation. You keep saying Christ and discovering "the Christ within" which is an awful, part of you, impersonal pronoun "the". Jesus and Christ are not the same words. Christ only means anointed. Jesus (Savior) is also called Emmanuel (Matthew 1:23, Isaiah 7:14, which means God with Us. Jesus is those things because he is the only one that came down from Heaven to us be born in a manager, God the Son of God.

All of the judgments you have made are you own judgments, who I am, what I think, what I know, etc, while at the same time saying "you shouldn't judge", attempting to disarm my fair right to act in kind (but I will not).

But here is my fair judgment. Every scripture I posted wasn't my judgment, but God's judgment. You aren't arguing against my judgment but God's judgment written in His bible and given to all of us. Furthermore, its a perfectly fair judgment, because everyone follows the same judgment. God is my judge, and he is yours too. You aren't doing right, and you are perverting God's truth, for the scriptures posted. Since you are preaching a different gospel and won't listen to scripture, we clearly have no fellowship. If you were not so antagonist or vain (since you already understand it all, per above), I could have shown you a few things. The questions I asked were not for show, I can see where you are thinking wrong about the bible from what you were saying, and would have been able to tell you other things, for you, if you had answered. All in all, the only person I am trying to reach is you. I am not trying to preach to a large audience.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

No, hope7134, there is not a chance that you will get me to stop quoting the bible or to "give up my sword".

God is not mocked, and quoting his word is not spewing, it is a blessing.

But at the same time you have no problem actually spewing your own gospel?? (assuming spewing means something untrue coming out of your mouth and not God's word), and when someone points out what God actually says, you have a problem with it.

Jesus regularly quoted scripture to all the common people in the new testament. There is scarce a place that Jesus isn't quoting old testament.

Hope: When Jesus ministered to the regular everyday people, who followed after him, he never rebuked them or chastised them,

In Luke 10:13, Jesus says:
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you. 15 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

So he basically chastised the cities and everyone in them. And if that isn't enough, Jesus also prophesied that Jerusalem was going to be punished by God for the way it was acting. He was sad about it, but they would not otherwise. And then God did it and now Jesus is on his Father's throne, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Luke 20: 42... The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool (also see appended verses at end of the post).

Luke 13:34-35: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! 35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
