Edit: I have completed Larken's sermon on the subject and it doesn't change anything.

I recognize that I don't have any power and it's the ruling class that has the power - but that doesn't mean I don't still want A/C turned on in my cell.

I recognize that whatever I ask for today can be used against me in the future - but that doesn't mean I don't still want A/C turned on in my cell.

I'd rather not be in the cell to begin with. That's the real problem, and that's where Larken is missing the mark. He thinks the "robbery" is the problem. Well, it's not robbery, to most people. To most people it's just taxation. Voluntary taxation, at that. It's only "robbery" to people like you and me because we are held captive in this system against our will.

If Larken ever wants to be taken seriously by me, he'll need to demonstrate that he understands that concept, and the difference between taxation and robbery.

Until then, I'm just gonna keep asking our ruling class to keep the A/C on at a steady 70 degrees fahrenheit, because otherwise it gets fucking hot in here. And if they take money out of your bank account to help fund it, then sorry but not sorry, how about you help us break out of this prison instead of complaining about being robbed.

It's Larken's job to make people see that there is no difference. You said yourself that the only difference is public perception, after all; he can't change it by bowing to it.
