The official "Stand with Rand" moneybomb thread is here! April 7th!

Rand Paul is a BIGGER figure IMO nationally than his father who raised $500K back in 2011 for his first Money Bomb. And I think that was a weekend total.

Also, Ron averaged about $60 per donation (not $100 theory as a few are floating around the potential for Rand) or a little less than 10,000 donated Ron's first time around.

I think Rand has an opportunity to push 50,000 donations or about $3M his first go around. Heck he has 1.8 million followers on FB. Rand is making a BIG announcement too and he will be all over the news including FOX and the talk radio shows like Rush, Hannity, etc. where he needs to be and where is father was blacked out.

We shall see...I'm predicting $3M in donations from Tuesday to Sunday.

Drudge is pushing Rand to the top of his page as of Sunday evening to help...we LOVE you Drudge!!!

3 mil has a nice ring to it.

The site will be randpaul.com, which I think will have a ticker. But the donation page there links to RPV

When will the site and ticker be up? If it's not up by midnight tonight it will make it much harder for him to bring in a large amount of money in his money bomb.

 Why the heck is our phone number mandatory? I don't want to be on some list for sale. Not crazy about giving my employer and occupation either, federal law or not.

Still no ticker. What's the deal? Are we going to have a money bomb without a ticker?

Should we wait for the ticker? Maybe it starts after announcement lol Might be weird to start now although if your feeling it maybe go for it. I am going to wait after the announcement! See you guys tomorrow!

Was just thinking about this, since it looks like the donations will be a three way split between Presidential, Senate, and RandPAC (unless the person donating specifies otherwise) the ticker would have to show total taken in for all three unless they specifically subtract whatever portion would go to whichever entity. Anyone remember them doing a split fundraiser like this in 08' or 12' seems like something new they are doing.

I believe that Senate and President are the same account in that the money can be spent on either race, but that you can donate $2,700 to each for both the primary and general.

Oh wait actually I think I read the section wrong, it looks all donation amounts would first be applied to Presidential then if 2700 is reached it goes to Senate and then on.

For Individuals and Federal Non-multicandidate PACs—First $2,700 to RPFP’s primary-election account; next $2,700 to RPFS’s primary-election account; next $2,700 to RPFS’s general-election account; next $5,000 to RAND PAC; and final amount, up to $2,700, to RPFP’s general-election account.

Tickers are nice. I may also wait to see. You would expect it to be there by the time of the announcement at the latest, if there is one.

Thank you!
Thank you for your generous donation!

I'm holding back $1,500 for future strategic bombing runs but I think it is important to give a lot or as much as you can right now in order to make a strong statement in support of Rand's candidacy.

It would be nice to double Cruz's first 24 hours.

Correct, but I'm saying that they are only saying that because of FEC regulations. Technically, 2700 goes to the Presidential primary cycle and 2700 goes to the Senate primary cycle, but in reality all $5400 can be spent on the presidential race. At least that's my understanding.

I'll bet it will be like it was with Ron. You will get some campaign recordings from Rand. Used to get those from Ron.
