The Iowa Democrat establishment bungled this on purpose in order to deny Bernie the media bump. Most people are asleep, the paper deadlines have passed for tomorrow's press, SOTU is tomorrow, impeachment trial in 2 days, no one will remember this by the end of the week, especially without a splashy headline of who won.

It's the same nonsense we went through in 2012 where the GOP establishment was doing everything they could to prevent Ron from getting the spotlight. The Dems are going through it now with their ideological base candidate.
 
Whatever the cause, we can rest assured it is not because TPTB want to end Iowa's outsized influence in elections and end caucuses entirely in favor of a national primary day.

I'm certain we won't be inundated tomorrow with commentaries asking why we place so much emphasis on Iowa and why do we still have caucuses, any way? Won't be any of that.
