The official Festivus 2011 thread

Well, the Scriptures already tell us what holy days to observe...and that is the Lord's Day, every Sunday.

This is what is called the regulative principle of worship. It basically means that we worship in the manner that Jesus taught us to worship and no way else.

i follow Paul's teachings on this one, who followed Christ. celebrating Christmas, or any other day is purely an item of conscience.

Romans 14:4-9

5 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. 8For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. 9For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

You know what? NO SOUP FOR YOU!

Your soup is very bad. VERRY BAD!! It contains flouride, trans-fats, gluten, BPA, thimerosol, depleted uranium, nano thermite, polonium, RFID chips, avian flu and many other bad things. You might as well call it Bilderberg Stew. This is another of my grievances.

But it's FDA approved!

Standings tell all, my friend.

Flyers and Canucks are both in 5th in their respective conferences. Philly also plays in the East, which is much less competitive than the western conference. Not saying Philly is a bad team, they're just traditionally a goon squad. They've even had formal warnings from the NHL over their actions and number of suspensions.

Are you crazy? That comment alone proves you know nothing of hockey...

and about the warnings/suspensions... plain and simple, as the MSM hates Ron Paul, Bettman hates the Flyers. boom. the end.

I shall make a hockey thread, as to not derail festivus.

You're joking right? Look at the point spread between 1st as 8th every season and look at how much more competitive the western conference is. Then look at the difference between the next 4 teams who didn't make the playoffs, usually it's 1-2 point separating 6th and 10th in the west and 10 or so in the east. It's well known that the west is a much tougher conference than the east. It should YOU know nothing about the NHL to say otherwise.
