The national campaign is inept. Time for Grassroots to take hold the message!

Ron Paul is great and he will always be remembered as the leader of this movement, but it would be difficult to leave the message of freedom in the hands of the national campaign. Most of us can agree that his commercials have been at the very least lackluster and lacked passion, and at the worst undeniably awkward. The national campaign at this point also has some folks with questionable loyalties within it.
We will not abandon Paul now or ever, but an organization for national outreach has to be set up outside of the campaign. We will continue to promote him through this new medium until he no longer wants to campaign or wins the presidency, but after that, the message needs to continue. Here's the idea:

-Create a PAC or similar organization whose only purpose is to create high quality videos and audio that can be advertised on national television and radio.
-Every week user submitted media will be added to polls and voted for by all members. The most popular will then be introduced to the public as commercials.
-Revenue for the official campaign is drying up. I am guessing mostly because donors do not think the money can be spent effectively at this point. If we can give people an outlet to practically put their money to use for the message of freedom, the message will continue well past this election season.
-At this time, all videos will include references to Ron Paul's campaign, but in the future, campaigns of other liberty minded individuals could be included, as well as general topics relative to the entire movement.
-Some of the user submitted Ron Paul videos on youtube are absolutely amazing but will never be seen by the millions that are waiting for this message. We can change that.
-Potential future candidates will also be submitted and voted on by users, and those that most effectively communicate the message of freedom will get no-cost advertising.

The media has effectively silenced us, and when our movement is mentioned, there is usually some kind of spin attached. It is time to break out of the blackout. It is time for Americans to hear the message unfiltered and unfettered.

Any ideas? Anybody want to help organize this?

Why collect millions and then hand those millions over to the media companies ??? Think local.

If you want to create a PAC to manage all of that, then go for it. Sounds like a good idea.

Ok.

If everyone were one-tenth serious about ineptness of official campaign, they would be in Arlington or wherever the office is at right doing a sit-in protest until this was resolved somehow. Don't just bitch about it.

PAC is certainly a good idea; recall that PAC would have to have its own fundraising efforts while PCC gets to hold onto to 5 (?) millions they have in bank right now.

A dollar short and a day late.
The only positive thing we can do now is to get as many delegates in as possible. Campaigning is all but over with.

Yes, I wish the national campaign had been as serious about taking the country back as the grassroots was (is). They were lame-o.

There is absolute no question of material fact that the presidential campaign managers for Ron Paul were grossly incompetent to properly run this presidential campaign. They may as well have taken the $20 Million we donated last quarter and used it to have a bonfire for roasting marshmellows. If ever one person snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, that person was Jesse Benton.

Dr. Paul should give some clear guidance at this point.

What he would like to see us do.

I was at a party last night, and five of us don't like the three choices.

I hope we keep on getting delegates and make this go to a brokered convention.

Do we back Huck to make a brokered convention? I don't like Huck either. I don't really want to see us back him.

HQ has blown this, in my opinion, and I would like to hear loud and clear from Dr. Paul.

My vote is, keep on trying for a brokered convention. The other choices are not acceptable.

Remember the book release in April.

Hopefully most of the questions about the future of the rEVOLution will be answered therein.

There is not going to be a brokered convention. I think I'll be going to the state convention here just to cause a little trouble and vote against stupid planks, but I know nothing big is going to happen.

Maybe I'm not allowed to say it here, but I'm just hoping the LP puts up someone good this year, someone on the Republican/Libertarian fence like Bob Barr (instead of someone on the Libertarian/counterculture nutjob fence like usual).

Wayne Root seems fairly reasonable, though he comes off like a motivational speaker a little bit - Polar opposite of RP in the delivery.

I talked to a friend of mine in KCMO the other night. She used to write grants. I was telling her about all the money that was raised in the 4th quarter. She kept asking me what exactly was done with the money. She said that huge amount of money should have gotten him into the spot light because money talks and if the money had been spent correctly RP would be in the race. As it appeared to her RP wasn't even in the running. She said the reason huckabee was getting the press was because he was buying it. She told me that the people in her circle had never heard of RP and if she wasn't my friend she would never know who RP was. On a side note I think she is leaning towards obama because she thinks he can unite the country.

Maybe I'm not allowed to say it here.

For all that you and ALL of us are not allowed to say in these forums, Dr. Paul and his campaign - and indeed the country, suffers.

A chance remark? I think not. Just the plain truth.

I have to call this post a troll post. Man ... HQ and every single one of us work in unison!

Let this thread die.

I'll have to repeat my post:

1) If you are really serious about gross incompetence, I strongly suggest that you go and do a peaceful sit-in protest in the PCC office until someone sits down and work out a deal. Don't bitch about it on an online forum. So either GTFO and sit in @ PCC office or GTFO and canvass both your home neighborhood and other state's neighorhood.

2) We want to send everyone we can to state and National convention *REGARDLESS* of whether there will be brokered convention or not.

I've said it before: Paul *will* win, with or without nomination, only if we have 1191 RPRs in the house. Remember that they are bound only for nomination but free to do anything else WRT party's platforms (put RP's message there!), modifying rules (pave the way for future RPRs!), moving a resolution to chain the nominee to RP's message.

Bump:D

And don't you guys talk about HQ like that. If the emporer has no clothes, don't you think we're better off not talking about it!

Hush now!

Squandering $20 Million of donations in a single month without a single victory to show for it is nothing to remain silent about.
