This is where due process comes in.

Even if someone like the president does have the right to kill criminals who are deserving of death, they still have to prove it before doing so. There's no one above the president in our government or in the world who they need to ask for permission to defend the country from enemies.

The 400 missles and thousands of drones that Iran used against Israel could hit several dozen high value military and civilian targets in the continental United States.

If they had a similar rocket or drone program and werent economically isolated for the last 30 years they could bomb us and all of the missle defense tech we have spent 50 years creating couldnt stop it.

They are even closer to Peurto Rico and have threatened them with invasion.
