The lasting impression from the BO interview is...

I would see it as a sign of strength and ability to control the situation.
Just me I guess...

its also pretty unprofessional to directly lie about a guest's position such as Ron's position on going to Afghanistan. would it have been so much trouble for bill to find out from public record how ron voted. i like how ron corrected him saying he was making up quotes out of thin air (or something like that) and also clarifying his position on how the mission in Afghanistan wasn't carried out like it should have.

He actually did pretty great. Did kind of stutter a little a few times. Nothing serious.

Great Bill moments:

"We didnt let him go anywhere, he escaped."

The emotional arguments get shriller by the moment while actual history and logic come together. You can only say the same thing over and over for so long. I think this is how elections get lost deliberately.

Here's a quick story about who I would consider a "typical" voter here at work. Very smart guy (PhD actually) who is very knowledgable and has strong beliefs/opinions. He has said things like "the republicans aren't any better than the democrats", so I take it he's a disenchanted republican (like me).

He's watched no debates and hadn't heard of the majority of the republican candidates. As a barometer, as of this morning, he'd never heard of Mike Huckabee (this shows how little attention a great many people are paying at this point).

He's said on several occasions that the country was ripe for a third party candidate this time around. I'd told him that Ron Paul is his guy, but again, he'd never heard of or seen him before.

Well, he come up to me this morning and said "I saw your Ron Paul guy on O'Reilly last night. Real sharp guy. He's got it figured out."

So hopefully that's not an isolated incident and allowed Paul to reach and intrigue a group not yet exposed to his message.

On Morning Joe they were talking about BO and Joe stated, that for the first time in years, Keith Olbermann took first place in their timeslot on Friday.

I think this is very telling, and the tide is turning against the war-drum thumpers. (one can only hope):)

That's why we really gotta get Ron Paul on Olbermann's show.

Bill kept shouting, "aren't you afraid!" and "Shouldn't you be afraid!" as though he was perplexed and upset that somehow their network's constant fear mongering was not working on Dr. Paul.

'Zactly. Fear meets logic.

Which do you want in control in these troubling times?
