The last thing my Grandfather and I talked about was Ron Paul

My Grandfather has had emphysema for the past 15 years. He also has had double pneumonia for the past few weeks. Yesterday morning they took him to the hospital because he stopped breathing. Things have progressed from there and now they are saying he won't make it through the night.

The last conversation we had was a few days ago. I don't remember the exact words, but I remember that he was smiling and saying Ron Paul was the best presidential candidate he had seen in years. He wanted to live long enough to see Dr. Paul become President. I wish so bad that he could've made it another eleven months.

Not the most coherent or detailed post I've ever made, but I'm sure you understand.

I understand completely. My grandfather didn't care much for politicians but he truly believed in Ron Paul. He was the reason I learned about Ron Paul in 2007/2008. He passed away in November of 2011.

So sad, my heart goes out to you. . My condolences in advance if your grandfather passes tonight. I'm sure he is very proud of you!

I am very sorry to hear that. I believe God works miracles every day so I will be praying for him to stay with you longer.

Where did your grandfather live? Did he get to vote yet?

California. And no.

I'm sorry to hear that. Yet even more proof that Ron Paul is the first real candidate in decades.

very sad, sorry about your grandpa. I hope Ron Paul turns out to win for your grandps!

Me too. I was going to try to finish the OP with a rally-the-troops message, but I just couldn't muster it. In reality though Ron still has a very real shot. I think it's possible he his actually 50/50 or even leading in delegates.

I'm sorry to hear that :(. My grandmother was a big fan of JFK. She hated politics after that. My thoughts are with you and your family.

We're going to kick some major establishment ass for your gramps man...

Let's win CA for Ron...for your grandfather!

PM sent since you're in Merced.

Condolences, John.

You'll be in my hopes, thoughts, wishes and prayers, as well as your family. I'm glad something you are so passionate about, you were able to spread with your grandfather in time. He may have not seen Ron Paul become president, but when RP does...I'll sure he'll see in spirit.
