I wish my grandfather was around to talk about Ron Paul. My grandfather served 30years in the air force and served in the Kennedy admin under the joint chiefs of staff at the pentagon during the Cuban missile crisis and the assassination. They all have great stories to tell from their time, I hope our great story of our time is electing someone who truly cared about the founding principles of this nation. Thank you for your story and I am sorry for your loss.
Aw man, sorry to hear. Its cool that he said Ron Paul was the best presidential candidate that he had seen in years. He must have been proud of you to tell you that... that's a nice thing to know even if the worst happens.
Cheers to JFK III and your grandfather, hopefully there is solace in knowing the fight for liberty is at its strongest in atleast 40+ years and quite possibly since the Revolutionary War.
Miracles do happen, so let's hope he hangs in there. Stay strong either way. Now it is upon you to realize your grandfather's dream - make Paul president.
As the lurkiest lurker around here, it takes a lot for me to post. But this post from JFK III deserves a reply. First of all, thank you for sharing this with us. It reminds us why we care so much about Ron Paul and all the other freedom candidates. We're here for the people (like your grandfather) who wanted to make things better, and we're here for the youth of this country, because we can't afford to leave them the mess we have now.
+ rep for your grandpa man. I know how you feel my father is no longer eating or drinking, and it will only be a short time before he dies. Godspeed to them both in their next incarnation. One of the last things he said to me when I left at Christmas:
"you may not believe this, but I really do hope Ron Paul wins." That meant a lot because my father is a hardcore neocon.
