I just haven't figured out why he hasn't hit the venture capital market to find an Angel Investor if he wants to raise capital for a fund.

I have no problem with him raising money, or any problems with people giving him money to spread his message if that's what they like to hear.

It just seems like since he already has infrastructure in place, that a grassroots raise of charity capital would be far less effective than going to market and getting a true equity injection.

Just to play devil's advocate, I think the conventional wisdom why seeking out a commercial investor wouldn't be a good fit for Alex Jones is that it would raise questions with his listenership as to whether Jones had changed his message to please the investor(s). Their logic holds that if the money comes from a one-off grassroots effort, it obviously comes with no strings attached and Jones can use it as he sees fit. Or as the young people say, Jones is "keeping it real" by not seeking out commercial paper.

Like any other radio personality, Alex Jones is concerned about keeping the audience he has and (hopefully) growing it. The converse is true as well - he's interested in NOT LOSING audience share too. The more listeners he has, the more that advertisers will pay to advertise on his show, and the more money he makes. And his seeking out of commercial paper to grow his business would plant that little seed of doubt in his listeners' minds that he was in thrall to the "big moneymen" instead of to them.

I have never been a fan or listener of Alex Jones though I have heard some.
He has been a long time supporter of Ron Paul.
He has been a crusader against corrupt Government.
He is a staunch supporter of civil rights.

He has a lot of support here. So, what SPAM?
