The fat one is toast

Rubio has done nothing as a senator, he is too shallow. I would not worry about him too much

What did he have for breakfast this morning? A Dunkin Doughnuts truck? His health is a danger to himself and others. He could have a heart attack while driving and kill someone or worse, share with the children. Its high time we call on the NJ state police department to lock him in a cage.

Glenn Beck is making fun of him and saying he is now dead to him on his radio show.

Being shallow won't necessarily hurt him.

If he gets the establishment anointing, which is at least within the realm of possibility, then that will give him a huge advantage that will be hard for anyone else to beat, no matter how little Rubio actually brings to the table mentally.

I fully expect Christie to switch parties at some point in the future. I don't know how long it's going to take, but I believe it will happen.

And then all these republicans that showered so much praise on him will look foolish. And the democratic party will eat it all up! They got the keynote speaker supporting their party! Almost like Lieberman endorsing a neocon after being the VP candidate just a few years prior.

Am I the only one who sees the irony of RPF members claiming Christie is finished for cozying up to Obama, but Rand was "just playing politics" when he cozied up to Romney?
It wasn't the physical embrace, it is the embrace of Obama's policies. Rationing, ousting the free market when it is needed most, price controls... If he's a social democrat and now a fiscal democrat, he might as well switch parties already.

That's par for the course whenever a disastrous hurricane strikes.

If he was really a badass, he would have said, "FEMA stay away from my state! Let it be known that here in NJ, you can charge whatever people are willing to pay for gas! If you can get it here, you can charge whatever you want!" Shortage would have been OVER.

I disagree. The people will think about him whatever the media tells them too. This will be forgotten. You'll see. Just like romneycare didn't matter. It should have disqualified Romney but it didn't.

We have a winner here. It doesnt matter what the base wants, there's enough talking heads out there to bend the want into the wants of the establishment. How else do you think they nominated the liberal from Massachusetts? This is not a conspiracy about mind control, its just plain ole power of persuasion and the flock will fall for it all the time.

Uh, yes. Because Christie was cozying up to the opponent of his party's candidate and Rand was cozying up to his party's candidate.

I agree. I think 2016 is lost to him after this.

No one will remember this. If Romney could win this year with all of his baggage, all bets are off. The GOP voters are retarded. Just look at all the skeletons in closets that were totally ignored by voters last year. Newt's affairs, Santorum endorsing Arlen Specter, amongst other things, Mitt's mormonism and romneycare. All these things should've disqualified them but nobody cared. This thing with Christie is even less important and no one will care or remember in 4 years, guaranteed.

LOL...ah, yes. Partisan party politics. In reality, both Christie and Rand cozied up to people who they don't see eye-to-eye with politically.

Sure, but Christie is no libertarian....neither are most of the people in NJ, I suspect.

This is absolutely ridiculous, and a real indicator of how insane American politics are. Just because Christie chose to handle a state emergency and discontinue campaigning for Mittens and said a couple nice things about a sitting President about how he handled a semi-national disaster his career is in the toilet for conservatives. What a bunch of tit whining babies. My estimation of Christie after this went from "he makes want to puke" to "I get a little nauseous thinking about him." He deserves flack for his shitty policies, not for the recent non events.

Yeah, I see what you are saying.

My take on it is: These Glenn Beck/Levin-type conservatives never got the choice they were looking for. Ron (and Rand) were so adept at exposing the fake conservatism of Newt, Cain, and Santorum, that none of them could ever gain any traction, and even though Mitt was the default choice, there was no enthusiasm in the end.

Rand is not going to suffer from the smear attacks of Beck/Levin etc. He will get their hearty endrosement I think. Christie is not going to get the hearty endorsement of the Beck/Levin types. You're right that Rubio and Christie are going to be default establishment alternatives...and they are going to be real threats. But with Rand, we have a REAL fiscal conservative that the Tea-o-Cons can really get behind.

Oh, I couldn't disagree more. Sorry, Kathy.

I see the people suffering in his state. They are already suffering from a storm, but now they have to suffer from shitty policies as well? It's killing me. And all the while, he's trying to look like he's helping things?! Like I said, I don't care that he embraced Obama, but he threw out the free market when it was needed the most - that is unforgivable to me.

I agree 100% with this.

And the ad-hominem attacks are getting really, really old.
